Gas was $4.49 yesterday and the same stations I drive by every day are now $4.75 this morning. This is not sustainable for most Americans.

I use GasBuddy to find the cheapest gas in town, and it’s very disheartening looking at prices in the area.Gas was $4.49 yesterday and the same stations I drive by every day are now $4.75 this morning. This is not sustainable for most Americans.

Unpopular opinion: Americans got spoiled by low gas prices and falling travel costs. From 2013-2021, average gas prices were sub-$3. The average mpg for light trucks has gone from 19.5 to 25 mpg from 2005 to 2020, a 30% increase. Hybrid vehicles further reduced costs. The actual cost to drive has been stable or falling for most of the last decade.
Rising gas prices will drive public demand for EVs. Amazon and their last mile delivery don’t work well with high gas. Americans still won’t support public transportation.
Gas prices are way up, but real cost of driving a mile was higher for most of the past century
Prices are rising fast and inflation is squeezing family budgets, but a little perspective is in orderwww.marketwatch.com

Jamie Dimon says 'brace yourself' for an economic hurricane caused by the Fed and Ukraine war
"You know, I said there's storm clouds but I'm going to change it … it's a hurricane," Dimon said Wednesday at a financial conference in New York.www.cnbc.com

I guess you think we have been paying too little for food and housing as well since that seems to be the trendy excuse argument of late.
We just had it good all these years now I guess we should just suck it up and pay more for everything.
huh…how much does that pay?I can't speak for other industries, but as far as the construction industry goes, I blame all increases in labor and fuel prices on a major spike in guys in hard hats sitting in their trucks on their phones with the A/C on.
Indeed, I want in.huh…how much does that pay?
Funny that during a hurricane, its against the law to sell ice for $10 a bag, and during covid, charge $20 for an ounce of hand sanitizer, but gas, na, we won't regulate that.. We are getting price gouged by the oil companies....
