A TikToker's video has gone viral after revealing the unusual reason why she asked a Starbucks barista to remake her drink: apparently, it didn't match her foundation shade of choice.

In her clip, TikToker @conniecantu faces the camera with an iced Starbucks beverage in her hand. She lip-syncs to an audio clip that says: "That was embarrassing. I really hope you're embarrassed."

Meanwhile, the on-screen captions read: "When I ask the barista to please remake my drink because it looks about [three] shades lighter than NC40 and she says it was already made correctly."

Then, in her other hand, the TikToker reveals another, slightly darker Starbucks drink from off-camera.

"NC40" seemingly refers to a shade of a popular makeup item from MAC Cosmetics—the Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. This foundation shade, which the cosmetics company describes as a "medium beige with golden peach undertone," roughly matches the color of the TikToker's second drink. It also appears similar to the skin tone and makeup shade of the TikToker herself...........

A Los Angeles woman is facing a federal assault charge after she allegedly punched and spit on a man aboard a recent Delta Air Lines flight following a mask dispute.

Patricia Cornwall was detained Thursday at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after passengers told authorities that she had caused a disturbance on Flight 2790 from Tampa.

Video shared to social media appears to show Cornwall, 51, slapping a male passenger across the face during an argument over masks.

The man told investigators that the maskless woman, who mockingly compared herself to Rosa Parks and told him to put on his mask as he was eating and drinking, also spit on his face and head, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Monday.

“This disturbance [led] to the injury of fellow passengers and Delta employees,” the Atlanta Police Department said in a news release.

The complaint, filed in the Northern District of Georgia, accuses Cornwall of “assault by striking, beating, or wounding” the male passenger, who is identified only as “R.S.M.” Cornwall, who made her first court appearance Monday, could face up to a year in prison and a fine up to $100,000 if she is found guilty of the Class A misdemeanor.

She did not submit a plea during her initial court appearance.
Cornwall declined to comment Tuesday but said she and her attorney, Millie Dunn, would issue a public statement in the coming days. Dunn did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“I appreciate you reaching out to me as I do feel my side needs to be told,” Cornwall wrote in a text message to The Washington Post…….

I didn't know that you could rent out churches for birthday parties, or that they had coffee shops
========================================================

.....In a second video, the TikToker said, using the text-to-speech function, that the Karen entered the church while it was "closed to the public" for a private event. The event was a birthday party for the TikToker's boyfriend's 2-year-old nephew.

When the Karen first entered the church, none of the partygoers knew her, but they let her be anyway, the TikToker said. However, the Karen "made herself known" by walking to the party's cooler and taking a drink out of it without saying anything.

"That's when we kind of began to question her and kindly went over to her and asked her if she was supposed to be here," the TikToker said.

Apparently, the Karen became upset and yelled at the people at the party, including the children. The TikToker said the partygoers knew they needed to do something at that point.

In another video, they said they couldn't find the phone number of whoever had rented out the space for the party, so they did the "next best thing" and called the non-emergency police line.

"She was clearly not all there, and we were nervous of what she might do next," the TikToker said of the Karen.

The TikToker said the partygoers kept their distance while waiting 20 minutes for the police to arrive. When the police arrived and began questioning the Karen, she revealed that she was mad because the coffee shop inside the church was closed and she wanted a drink.

According to the TikToker, the church coffee shop closes every day at noon, and the Karen didn't show up until about 4:30 pm. The TikToker said the Karen told the police she wasn't going to leave because she wanted her coffee.........

Coffee shops are actually pretty common in many large churches these days. Church property gets rented out all the time. It's not unusual when churches are struggling to make ends meet to rent rooms on the property. Some even rent the sanctuary for specific larger events. It would depend on the church though. Some denominations frown on that sort of thing while others don't have anything against it.

My daughter's fencing club practices at a church. The club rents out the recreation space. My old church in New Orleans used to rent out its kitchen during the week.

Something about a pivotal player in their religion chasing out people who were buying and selling in the temple. I'm sure that he'd be good with it now though.
