BRICS is a cooperation pact in name only. Russia has already proven that they will not come to the aid of members unless it directly benefits them.
It seems like a name only which has lost it first letter. Now it's RICS.

If we were talking about weapons of mass destruction this still wouldn't be adequate evidence, however it does move the needle forward a wee bit where the topic of North Koreans supplying line troops, as opposed to a few technical advisors.

im not sure as to where your skepticism is coming from with regards to NK troops in support and warring in Ukraine, but if your reply above is any indication, let me help you understand that this is nothing like GWII.

We have intel from multiple allies, including our own, along with OPEN SOURCE INTEL posted here over last few days that CLEARLY show NK command AND ground troops in Russia at training grounds/being issued Russian gear.

Might i suggest some WD40 to lubricate that needle as it might be a bit rusty from over 20 years of inactivity?

I'm not sure that I'm being all that skeptical, what I've said over and over is I've not yet seen evidence that they are actually there in spite of some folks in the internet showing me stuff which they say is evidence that doesn't qualify as being evidence.

Show me some evidence, real evidence, and I will say, say oh look North Koreans fighting with Russian in Ukraine.

Videos of troops in the background with accompanying narrative as to how they are North Koreans don't meet that bar.

I've seen this since I last posted about this:

This is better, although it's still not rising to the level of being evidence. Another thing about this is this is toned down a lot from the retric I was seeing last week.

12,000 troops is a token insofar as this war, however 12,000 is a number which could grow. But at this point I'm still wondering if this might be all or most fog of war and/or propaganda.

I kind of agree with you here.

Mainly from the aspect of bullets flying past my head. I don't much care what the "made on" label says and don't really much care the nationality of the person firing them. I'm not sure why it matters other than Russia is being supported by a league just as Ukraine has outside support.

My confusion is why NATO has allowed Russia to dictate the rules and support that is given to Ukraine. So if North Korea wants to throw troops in Ukraine then we should have no problem when France or Poland does the same.

Instead of boots on the ground, just send long range weapons, send atacms and give permission to hit any military targets. Escalation? Russia and NK are already doing that.

from some of the other posts im reading is that European NATO countries are beginning to understand reliance upon US is fleeting. ( as it relates to the "now" )

Im encouraged that European nations are not particularly waiting on US to act in a certain manner or "give their blessing" for certain actions. The downside is the US reputation will take a hit thru all of this.

We have been very very skittish from the outset of this conflict, when it comes to fully supporting Ukraine. I dont fully understand it, im not privy to the intel they have, but on the surface, its a bad look. So i have to imagine there is some intel that gives pause to certain aspects of support.

I dont like it, never have, never will...at some point, if you desire to be the "beacon on the hill" for freedom, democracy and anti-authoritarianism, its going to require decisions to be made outside of a vacuum. We simply havent stepped up to that plate, not only not fast enough, but not looking to hit a home run vs a single.

However, i do applaud Europe finally waking to the real possibility of conflict that isnt resolved diplomatically and acting accordingly.

The caveat to all of this is Nov 5, right? Its going to push this in one of two distinct directions.

one good, one bad.

there is a host of other dominoes to fall if we arent steadfast in defense of Ukraine, NATO and Eastern Europe.
