Thats horrible levels of incompetence, like the kind where state officials rip into your organization with some fervor. How do you mistake a 5'8 bald guy with a beard with Roberta Laundrie? She is probably early 60's and wears a sleeve on her arm.Police incompetence, shocking! Not really shocking, but yeah.
The ability of law enforcement to pigeon hole "evidence" to fit their pre-determined narrative is mind-boggling. Thank God for DNA evidence.i had a coworker who's wife was killed by Derrick Todd Lee.
For months, he was the main suspect because they found her dairy about how much they fought and how much she hated him. so they.told all his family, her family their friends neighbors and everyone else he was guilty and they knew he did it, they just didn't have the hard evidence. when DNA came back from the skin found under her fingernails wasn't his, you would think they would have apologized. nope, they told him he was a wife beater and deserved everything he went through.
so even if law enforcement doesn't find any proof the parents knew, I doubt they'll say as much..
I have a suspicion that whatever they're ultimately able to salvage will be anticlimactic anyway. We want a page to say, "Yes, I did it and here's why I did it" and it won't. That would require him to have had some understanding into his own psyche and he didn't have any. He was worried about being polite to authority figures and sitting criss cross applesauce and not drinking out of plastic bottles and castigating litterers. He had no clue how to moderate his own selfish emotions and feelings into empathy or concern for others in a way that would prevent him from KILLING HIS OWN GIRLFRIEND. My heart wants a reason, my head tells me no way he suddenly had an epiphany before he laid down to die to put down in words something that would give anyone any kind of understanding. So good riddance. Will Brian's notebook be revealed to the public?
Gabby Petito's Dad Not Focused on Brian Laundrie Notebook, But Domestic Violence
Gabby Petito's dad is not focused on Brian Laundrie's notebook, instead he wants to see changes with domestic violence.www.tmz.com

…so you can see it another wayHow do you really feel about it? lol. If Brian did kill Gabby, what possible reason do you think he had? Does that change anything?
As of now, no one knows who or what killed Brian, it's still a mystery. How did he end up underwater? Is it possible he drowned himself? Maybe someone saw him and took the law in their own hands?
You figure if a person spends many hours at a park and is experienced in outdoor camping, he would of been a little more careful. To me it points to suicide or foul play. Can't really see it any other way right now.
Just trail blazing in the middle of no where shows a lack of caution, it reminds of the story of the guy who just left college and moved to Alaska, but later starved to death. Maybe Brian ran out of water or food, got weak, fell down, and animals had dinner?!?!
…so you can see it another way
The only question I’m really concerned with is how much/little did his parents know - I really don’t care how he died (unless his parents did it — like some Of Mice and Men sorta deal)Possibly, but just sort of laying ideas out, and when your brainstorming, sometimes things are open to interpretation, or maybe not a lock tight understanding.
How do you see it?

I knew I didn't come on strong enough with my opinion. lolHow do you really feel about it? lol. If Brian did kill Gabby, what possible reason do you think he had? Does that change anything?

I'm curious how he actually accomplished something like that, but don't really care either in the big scheme. I think the parents are an oddity. They "cared" enough to lawyer him up but then seemingly do nothing to save his life like prevent him from going on the run. In my view, his death is the only conceivable outcome. Or did they really think he was an Eric Rudolph? The only question I’m really concerned with is how much/little did his parents know - I really don’t care how he died (unless his parents did it — like some Of Mice and Men sorta deal)

I don't think he HAD a "reason". As I said, he didn't have control of his emotions.
I think where he killed himself, however he did it, he didn't think about it becoming underwater in a few days or weeks. OR maybe somebody did kill him. I would have wanted to.
I think he fancied himself being an outdoorsman because of his concern for the environment (which isn't worth much if you're not equally concerned about human life), I don't think he was one. Or at least not a "hiding out and roughing it" outdoorsman. Basically, this dude failed at being a human.
No. You have me confused with the "protestors" outside the Laundrie home. That's not my MO.Do you own any pitchforks or torches? lol
So, if I understand you correctly, you think Brian had an extreme handicap?!?! Serious mental issues, so was basically an adult child, or possibly an adult infant? How did he manage to graduate high school (I presume), and had enough emotionally capacity to bring in Gabby, and convince the police he was not a threat? There is an extreme gap between empathy and intelligence?
