Upcoming movie coming out? Yeah, this is a good idea...

This is almost certainly so she cam be resurrected as a mutant to better align with the MCU and get away from Ike's Inhumans mandate.

Convoluted but I'm about 99% certain that's the goal.

Nevermind the mess that X-Men has become with all that Krakoa nonsense.

Dying in Marvel means even less than it used to and it hasn't meant anything for a long time.

I dunno, Tony Stark is dead...or supposed to be anyway. But yeah, it doesn't mean much with the multiverse and what not.

I'm willing to bet a ton of money this is exactly how she comes back.

"Someone find me an egg!!!"

Why would you spoil this?

Secrets in comics mean absolutely nothing, especially if it means it'll generate more sales. DC announced the death of Superman in the 90s and reaped the sales from the speculation market. Publishers don't care. I knew a month before the public release of Batman #50 that Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle weren't getting married because I didn't get a review copy as I normally do. DC only does that when they know the outcome will be leaked and affect their sales potential. Publishers don't care about spoilers if it affect the dollars.

Now, Marvel did have some concerns about this for safety reasons. This run by Zeb Wells and John Romita, Jr. is almost universally hated and they feared Wells was going to get Tom King-level hate as a result (after the release of Batman #50, DC had to hire personal security for King for his convention appearances. It was needed in a few instances). Marvel actually asked Wells to cancel his convention appearances post-ASM #26. I saw Wells at C2E2 in Chicago this year. He had very little traffic compared to others.

I honestly haven't given that site the time of day in years. Since Jonah Weiland sold it, I'd guess. Which is sad, because I spent *a lot* of time on those forums back in the 00's. Arguably too much.

But much like Newsarama they got purchased by a clickbait syndicate and it all went to sheet. The fate of many a website I used to frequent before the rise of social media.

Those forums are pretty terrible now.

I honestly didn't know they still existed. If I remember correctly they purged the old forums at some point and all the stuff from my era there was lost.
Yeah. Guy I podcast with speaks highly (negatively) of that and the comments pages at CB.com.

There was a lot of great content there. Many writers and artists had subforums of their own and a lot of really great stuff was lost when they got rid of everything.
