The Playmaker Michael Irvin Pulled from All Super Bowl Coverage/NFL Network (09/14 EDIT: Irvin settles his defamation suit w/hotel, returns to NFLN) (1 Viewer)

Let's flip this over, MM. Tell me what you think about this. My wife and I went to exchange an item at Wallyworld. I told the cashier wahat I was trying to do, and she put the item aside when I went to see if they had another one. When I got back in line, a younger cashier came from behind the counter and asked if I she could help. I told her that the other cashier had already started the process. At the time, it didn't seem strange, but afterwards, I was wondering why she came from behind the counter and asked me, but didn't ask the person in front of me. Moreso, why leave your register. When my turn came, I finished my transaction, then as we were leaving the area, my wife grabbed me by a back belt loop and jerked me towards her. This caught me off guard, because she never did that before. When I asked her why, so said that the two cashiers were standing there and gawking at me like she was non-existant. I had never looked up to notice any of it happening. She definitely had to feel disrespected for her to react like that.
Are you a hottie?

Michael Irvin is the kind of personality that is difficult for me to give the benefit of the doubt to like I did to Darren Sharper. Obviously I had to change my stance on that one.
When I first read the headline when it came out, it instantly reminded me of Darren Sharper, even though this is more to do with what was said than rape like Sharper actually did. When you see the actual video, then it’s like woooow this woman really lied on this man because there’s no audio for one so you instantly perceiving guilt without it. Then, the body language of the woman and Irvin doesn’t support the verbal exchanges that Irvin was alleged of saying.

The last few pages of the thread shouldn’t have even became about hypotheticals when that video footage doesn’t support what Irvin was accused of. I’m just lost at how hypotheticals began to get thrown out there to sweep that actual video showing nothing directly inappropriate by the guy under the rug.

The problem is there’s nothing direct or straightforward by Irvin and the woman in the video to support “you ever had a big man inside of you,” to the point where we have to phish or nitpick normal body language, by a person with a checkered past, to justify one’s own prejudice towards him or in general, or to double down on being wrong for believing wild accusations without evidence. None of that is based on reality of normal socializing between a man and woman. All of those responses that followed the actual video footage giving hypotheticals is based on pure prejudice and projections of personal experiences or one having social awkwardness, and that doesn’t have anything to do with the interaction between them in the video and the fact that it doesn’t support the accusations.

I'm that guy too. I have and still am being approached by shockingly forward women. I truly don't see what they see. My wife tells me that I'm oblivious to how women disrespectfully stare at me, as she is invisible. Wome are so bold these days. Some have even told me that they want what they want. To me, if a guy was doing the things or saying what some women have said to me, we would be behind bars.
I think this post is useless without pics.

Everybody knows how thirsty the Wallyworld girls are.

I think I'm average, but from the reactions that I get...... I guess. I don't like the attention, though. Some have gotten too touchy-feely. I even had an old lady stop me and began feeling on my arm. She said she had never felt material like the shirt I had on. It was JC Penney cotton. Lol! I thought she needed help or something.

I think it does. I think we're talking about two different things. What I'm talking about is your normal, run of the mill, flirting with a woman. Like, "Hey how are you doing. My name is Drago can I buy you a drink. Can I have your number." That kind of deal. I'm not talking about some kind of aggressive, crude, and insulting things that have never been appropriate. Like, "Hey girl you wanna take a ride on the Drago Train?! Choo Choo! All aboard! I got the engine and you got the caboose!" There's a major difference in my opinion.
Obviously if you are offering to by a drink, you'd be somewhere were drinks are being served and flirting would be expected.

I don't think men should make habit of trying to get women's numbers just out and about, especially if the woman is at work. Women shouldn't be put in the position of having to turn down advances when they are just trying to go about their day.

This conversation doesn't have anything to do with Michael Irvin.

I've admittedly forgotten what the initial allegations are, but it's also possible that Michael Irvin SAID some pretty inappropriate things and he is suggesting he's completely innocent just because he didn't lay hands on her. So the video is one thing but may not be the complete story without the audio.

Nah it’s not a maybe he didn't when you definitively stating he needs to do better and presuming prejudiced guilt upon someone. Rather than reserving judgment and holding an accuser accountable for fabrication based on video.

The last few pages, at least when I initially posted, was about the video footage not supporting sexual assault or misconduct accusations.

Sorry, i'm not on anyone's jury, and me giving an opinions on a message board isn't holding anyone accountable.

None of us are in a position to hold either of them accountable. Nothing we say is ever going to impact either of them.

Oh, I'm sorry. Shouldn't I have done that?

Okay, I'm injecting humor into this but this is obviously something that bothers your wife and you, too. I can't speak to this because I don't think I do things like this, at least not since I was about 16 or so crushing on some dude at the mall. I don't personally know anyone who does this kind of thing, but there's probably a reason for that. I don't like female "mashers" anymore than I like male mashers.
