Absolutely.

I think the issue is that we won’t have nearly the assets to make it happen. This really should be the move Miami makes. They have a ton of picks (including Houston’s own), Tua and a couple other young players who could entice Houston.

This would actually be the way for Houston to hit reset, albeit without the one piece any franchise needs.

A couple of questions? One, why did he sign an extension when he knew the direction the team was going; with a no-trade clause. Two, has any team traded a QB of this caliber under 30?

Well that does seem to add more relevant detail, doesn't it? Although, is it just me, or does this report actually say that Watson basically thought the team should talk to who he wanted and got upset that they didn't? Rather than them making any commitment to do so?

I'm not saying it couldn't be handled better by the team, to make his view feel valued, but Watson isn't the guy who chooses the GM ultimately.

I don’t think a team should consult the quarterback on the hiring of a general manager. If they told him they would but didn’t, I can understand him being upset. If there’s any chance of trading for him we should go for it. I don’t think he gets traded though.
