New Orleans to host Super Bowl in 2024

ATLANTA -- New Orleans' Super Bowl drought is over.
The NFL awarded the 2024 Super Bowl (58) to New Orleans after the city secured a unanimous vote during Wednesday morning's single-city ballot process among NFL owners, snapping New Orleans' two-bid losing streak for the NFL's championship game.
It will be the first time the city will host the game since 2013 when Baltimore defeated San Francisco in Super Bowl 47 on Feb. 3, 2013 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. It's also the 11th time New Orleans will host the Super Bowl, tying with Miami for the most games hosted by one city. This will be the eighth Super Bowl played in the Dome, while the other three games occurred at Tulane Stadium.
The 2024 Super Bowl will take place Feb. 4, falling right in the middle of Mardi Gras season much like the 2013 Super Bowl. The major two weeks of carnival season will split with Fat Tuesday falling on Feb. 13, 2024.
Landing the 2024 Super Bowl will complete a heavy cycle of some of the nation's top sporting events. New Orleans will host the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Jan. 13, 2020, the NCAA Women's Final Four on April 3-5, 2020 and the NCAA Men's Final Four on April 2-4, 2022.

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons wrapped up their final practices on Friday ahead of their week four matchup. The Saints listed three players as out, including starters Demario Davis and Cesar Ruiz. New Orleans also listed three players as questionable. Wide receiver Chris Olave left practice early and didn't return after suffering a hamstring injury. He is listed as day-to-day. Tight end Taysom Hill wasn't assigned a game-day designation and will be good to go for Sunday.
The Falcons only listed one player with a game-day destination, listing tackle Kaleb McGary as out.

Saints rule out Demario Davis, Cesar Ruiz on final injury report vs. Falcons
There’s a long list of absences and situations to watch on the final Week 4 injury report. The New Orleans Saints ruled out a couple of starters including linebacker Demario Davis (hamstring) and right guard Cesar Ruiz (knee), having already placed center Erik McCoy (groin) on injured reserve. Backup wide receiver A.T. Perry (hamstring)has also been ruled out.

The New Orleans Saints’ passing attack has been heavily concentrated on three weapons: Alvin Kamara, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed. That trio has been the recipients of 29 of Derek Carr’s 44 completions this year. That’s 65.9% of his completions. They also make up 81.9% of Carr’s yards.
