Nick Saban had somewhere to be, but golf partner Mark Ingram wasn’t having it.

Saban was recounting when he and Ingram finished second to Georgia Tech pair Paul Johnson and Jon Berry in the 2015 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge at Reynolds Lake Oconee Resort outside Atlanta.

“We were in the playoff with Georgia Tech to win on about the fifth extra hole,” Saban said. “I said, ‘Mark, this is my last hole. I have to go speak.’ There are whole load of people at the plane and they’re all calling every five minutes saying, ‘We’ve got a 1,000 people you got to speak to tonight. We’re going to be late.’”

It probably comes as no shock that there was a strong New Orleans Saints contingent at the LSU Tigers Pro Day with the NFL Draft quickly approaching. Notably Mickey Loomis was in attendance with other members of the front office but notably, per Jeff Nowak, brand new Saints run game coordinator T.J. Pagnetti was in the trenches with the Tigers.

Like any team in the Southeastern Conference, there’s a plethora of talent on the LSU Tigers but the fact that they had a coach hands-on with the O-Line can narrow down a bit of what they’re looking for. Particularly of note is LSU OT Will Campbell...

The Saints have already held some meetings/dinners with groups of prospects, and last night, per Nick Underhill, the New Orleans Saints continued this by hosting a dinner for a group of Georgia prospects.

Doing their due diligence is always a good thing, and three Georgia prospects could be the Saints’...

New Orleans Saints running backs coach Joel Thomas was in attendance for Boise State’s pro day, per Luke Johnson.

Thomas was in attendance to spectate running back Ashton Jeanty. Jeanty had a monster year in 2024, rushing for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns, finishing second in Heisman voting.

While no player is a bona fide star right out of college, Jeanty is as close as you can get. His mass production in college and game IQ set the potential top 10 pick in the same category as Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants first-round picks Bijan Robinson and Saquan Barkely, both players rated...

The New Orleans Saints' free agency has been filled with contract restructures, pay cuts, signings, bringing back players, and trades. Currently, before the Dillon Radunz contract details come out, the Saints’ cap space is approximate $31 million, per Kat Terrell.

The Saints have filled many of their pressing needs since the beginning of free agency, and going...

The closer the NFL Draft gets, the more pro days conclude around the country. Teams pick and choose members of their coaching staff/front office to send to select pro days. It is always interesting to see how many or who gets sent to watch the prospects, and when a team sends a massive contingent of staff members, it is incredibly noteworthy. A couple of days ago, the New Orleans Saints did just this at Miami’s Pro Day but left after the events concluded. Their next destination was in Austin for Texas’ Pro Day, and this one felt a bit more important than any other stop the Saints have had...
