This thing is going to break records for intensity in a June storm. It's firing off twin cold tops around the center. An eye shouldn't be far behind. :(
 
Isn't the eastern Caribbean supposed to kill storms at this time of year?
 
The water is as hot as it usually is in September. Normal rules are out the window.
Yes, I suppose you're right on that. This does not bode well for August and September.

There is also no El Nino to protect us this year. The NHC is expecting La Nina conditions in Aug. and Sept.

 
Great.

One thing is the blocking high pressure looks to be over us around time it enters Gulf so that's something to hope verifies
