Make no mistake, Taysom Hill has to feel pretty good going into the 2018 season. He will undoubtedly have to beat out Tom Savage to win the backup job. Also, with the acquisition of J.T. Surely, Who Dat Nation was salivating in round one, when the Saints traded up to move to the 14th overall pick. The thought was that the Saints were going to pick a quarterback. That’s the usual scenario when a team moves up and gives up a couple of draft picks.

The New Orleans Saints have nearly perfect flexibility going into the NFL Draft, and at pick 9, the team is not forced to select a certain position. In 2024, offensive tackle had to be their selection in the first because of how big of a need it was. Yes, Brock Bowers may have been the one exception, but if the Saints did get Bowers, imagine the offensive line struggles the team would have gone through. With this flexibility, New Orleans must do as much homework on the top prospects in the draft as possible because anything could happen. One of these prospects is LSU offensive lineman Will...
