The New Orleans Saints were busy on Wednesday.

Several colleges held their Pro Day on March 26, with the Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers arguably being the main draws. Boise State, Navy, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky were among the others.

For the Saints, they had a good representation in Baton Rouge at LSU's indoor practice facility. Their contingent included general manager Mickey Loomis, front office executives Khai Harley and Michael Parenton, sports medicine director Ben Stollberg, sports performance director Ted Rath, run game coordinator T.J. Paganetti, coaches Bo Davis and Brian Young and several scouts that included Josh Hill - yes, that Josh Hill.

Running backs coach Joel Thomas went to Boise State, while the main big contingent that went to Texas to host a dinner with players on Tuesday night were at Ohio State Pro Day. That includes assistant general manager Jeff Ireland, head coach Kellen Moore, offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, offensive line coach Brendan Nugent and scouts Casey Talley and Ryan Powell. ...

The New Orleans Saints' free agency has been filled with contract restructures, pay cuts, signings, bringing back players, and trades. Many expected a more active year than last offseason, but what the Saints did so far has exceeded expectations. As New Orleans always does, each contract they gave out had first years with low base salaries and void years attached. Currently, before the Dillon Radunz contract details come out, the Saints’ cap space is approximate $31 million, per Kat Terrell.

The Saints have filled many of their pressing needs since the beginning of free agency, and going...

The closer the NFL Draft gets, the more pro days conclude around the country. Teams pick and choose members of their coaching staff/front office to send to select pro days. It is always interesting to see how many or who gets sent to watch the prospects, and when a team sends a massive contingent of staff members, it is incredibly noteworthy. A couple of days ago, the New Orleans Saints did just this at Miami’s Pro Day but left after the events concluded. Their next destination was in Austin for Texas’ Pro Day, and this one felt a bit more important than any other stop the Saints have had...

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results, so with that being said...

In 1999, the New Orleans Saints' front office traded their first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh round picks in that draft as well as the first and third rounders in the 2000 NFL Draft to move up to five and select Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams out of Texas.

Eight premium picks for one player that stayed in New Orleans for just three years before going to Miami, getting into some trouble and for the most part, finishing off a rather...

PFF names Brandin Cooks as Saints’ free agent signing with the most upside

The New Orleans Saints have been able to make some great moves so far this offseason, with some others being questioned in the eyes of some fans. While the full contract details for Brandin Cooks have not been revealed yet, what we do know so far is the overall number is for 2 years, $13 million. It is a bit too early to judge the contract, but with how the national media works, their grades/opinions on deals go off of whatever information is available at the time of the announcement, and many of the grades were not great for this deal.

With that in mind, looking at PFF’s new article...

Earlier this month, the New Orleans Saints agreed to trade a 2026 seventh-round NFL Draft pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for Davon Godchaux, a defensive tackle entering his ninth season.

The Saints will be Godchaux’s third NFL team. Previously, he spent four years in Miami with the Dolphins (2017-2020) and four years with the Patriots (2021-2024).

So, who is the Saints newest DT?

The Saints defense, led by new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, is expected to run a 3-4 defense. This is a change, as under Dennis Allen it ran a 4-3.

Godchaux’s experience at the 3-4...

Officially a month away from the NFL Draft, rumors regarding the New Orleans Saints likely draft choice have reached a fever pitch. And while the prevailing message from coaches and players alike is that Derek Carr is the first option for the Saints at QB in 2025, there has been some notable mutual interest between the expected #1 overall pick Cam Ward and the Saints.

The Saints have met with Cam Ward previously, and while this is common practice for any self-respecting NFL team, Ward’s response was anything but routine.

It’s rare for a prospect with this much attention to express not...
