Vernon Broughton, a 6-foot-5 senior from Houston, Texas, emerged as on the Texas defensive front over the course of his career. A former Top 80 national recruit, Broughton started 15 games in 2024, recording a career-best 39 tackles and 4.0 sacks. He was a critical piece of a deep Longhorns defensive line rotation, playing behind early NFL Draft picks before stepping into a starting role. Broughton impressed with his length (35-inch arms) and power at the Senior Bowl.

One of the teams to watch tonight is going to be the New Orleans Saints. They hold the 40th pick and are one of the teams that still “needs” to find a quarterback in this draft... But do they really?
Personally, I think they should avoid taking a quarterback in day two. Let me tell you why.
