What to watch for as Saints open minicamp

This offseason finds the New Orleans Saints looking to take an important step forward on offense, maintain the success they enjoyed on defense, and find a way to inch closer back to the Super Bowl in a very important moment of their history.
With their annual rookie minicamp, voluntary offseason workouts, and organized team activities all in the books, the defending NFC South champions will now look ahead to their first mandatory event of the offseason, with their three day minicamp poised to kick off in Metairie this week.
All three of their dates will be open for the public for fans to stop by and watch the team in action as they prepare for a pivotal season, in which experts from a variety of outlets all predict should find the Saints in contention to return to the playoffs and complete for a Super Bowl. The team remains among the teams at the top of that heap, according to bookmakers.
