Two free agents the Saints want to keep.

As the NFL Scouting Combine comes to a close, more information will get revealed.

For the New Orleans Saints, there's plenty of intrigue on what they'll do over the next week ahead of the new league year starting on March 12.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano got together to debrief from their time in Indianapolis and put out what they've heard from the week. Fowler gave a couple of Saints nuggets regarding Chase Young and Paulson Adebo.

Teams I've talked to are putting Chase Young high on the overall pecking order in the pass-rush free agency market. Part of the allure: There's still big upside there (still only 25), and while he spent last offseason idle due to neck injury recovery, he's completely healthy now and training vigorously for what he hopes is a breakout season. Expect the Saints to be involved in a potential re-sign.
Saints corner Paulson Adebo is believed to be well-positioned because he's a 25-year-old, second-contract player with length and speed who is recovering well from the surgery on his femur in October. The feeling is the Saints will hope to re-sign him. ...

Dont’e Thornton, a wide receiver out of Tennessee, had an impressive day at the NFL Combine and because of his performance, I think the New Orleans Saints should think about drafting him this April.

Standing at 6’5’’, his 40-yard dash of 4.30 stands out. And according to NFL Draft Files, this speed is nothing new. Thornton also had a vertical jump of 33” and a broad jump of 10’6’’, with a relative athletic score of 9.80.

In 2024, his best season of college football, Thornton had 26 receptions for 662 yards and six touchdowns. His best game was against Oklahoma, where he had two...

Two NFL Draft prospects that had their stock affected by Combine measurements

Most of the outside focus of the NFL Combine is on the 40-yard dash to see who runs the fastest. For some positions, this drill is essential. For others, different drills are a focus of many scouts. One aspect of the Combine is important no matter what: The measurements. Every prospect participating in the combine gets their height, weight, arm length, hand size, and wing span measured. Having the ideal measurements is something teams value higher than most categories, and it can affect draft stock if a prospect has surprising or disappointing measurements. It happens every year, and...

The New Orleans Saints may be in the market for a young quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft with the upcoming season likely being Derek Carr’s last in New Orleans.

On Saturday, the quarterbacks took the field to try and improve their draft stock. While projected QB1 and QB2 Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders decided to sit out of drills, enticing names such as Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and Missouri quarterback Brady Cook were present and participating in drills.

Projected second-round selection Jaxson Dart did everything to help keep his name in contention of being called on day two and...

With the ninth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints have a chance to reshape their roster in a big way—but the question remains: which position will they prioritize? Per a report Matt Zenitz with CBS Sports, the New Orleans Saints are expected to add Robert Blanton and Jay Rodgers to new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley’s staff.

Blanton is a former NFL safety who drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft. After retiring from the NFL, he started his coaching career at Benilde-St. Margaret High School in Minnesota, as their defensive backs coach. He later joined Miami University (Ohio) staff as their defensive pass game coordinator and safeties coach.

Rodgers comes to New Orleans with over 23 years of collegiate and NFL coaching...

Saints meet with Miami QB Cam Ward at the NFL Combine

The interview process is vital to understanding how these prospects think and if they can make it in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints will do their due diligence throughout the combine week, and although the team has hinted at Derek Carr being the starter in 2025, QB still needs to be looked at going into the draft. One of these quarterbacks the team could target, Miami's Cam Ward, is considered the far and away top QB in the draft. It is likely Ward gets selected before pick 9, but per Nick Underhill, the Saints still met with him yesterday at the NFL Combine.

This meeting is not a...

Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.football, the New Orleans Saints had a formal meeting with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders, son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, is one of the top QB prospects of this draft cycle. In the past two seasons at Colorado, he has amassed 7,362 passing yards, 64 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. The best game for Sanders would come in 2023, in a game against the Colorado State Rams, where he completed 38/47 passes for 347 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.

In 2024, he was given the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award, as well as...

1. Tennessee Titans - QB Cam Ward (Miami)

Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker stated that the team “won’t pass up on a generational talent with the first pick in the NFL Draft,” but Tennessee needs a quarterback, and Cam Ward is the best in the class.

With Myles Garrett asking for a trade, edge rusher becomes a massive need for the Browns. Abdul Carter is arguably the best prospect in the 2025 Draft and is the best chance for Cleveland to replace Garrett’s production.
