Saints sign undrafted free agent offensive lineman Daronte Bouldin

The New Orleans Saints signed undrafted free agent Daronte Bouldin Wednesday according to the NFL transaction report.
Bouldin, a 6-foot-5, 318-pound, guard out of Ole Miss started three of eight games for the Rebels in 2017 before his season ended in against Kentucky due to a broken foot.

He impressed at the Ole Miss pro day in March cranking out 35 bench press reps.

Saints' Tyrann Mathieu named a 'player to root for' in 2024

2024 is a big year for Tyrann Mathieu. The veteran safety has been everything the New Orleans Saints hoped for when they signed him, rarely missing a snap while leading Dennis Allen’s defense with seven interceptions through two years with his hometown team. He’s an important leader in the locker room, someone teammates flock to looking for advice.

For those reasons and more he’s an easy player to root for, at least according to NFL Media’s Dan Parr. Parr highlighted one player to cheer on each NFC team, and he says Mathieu fits the bill:

Saints running back room ranked 22nd by PFF

Pro Football Focus’ Trevor Sikkema released his running back unit rankings for 2024 on Wednesday placing the New Orleans Saints room 22nd.

The Saints put up 1,742 yards on the ground in 2024, ranking 21st in the NFL. The running back room only contributed 1,226 yards with quarterback Taysom Hill producing the second-most rushing yards on the team with 401. Alvin Kamara led the Saints with an underwhelming 694 yards on 3.9 yards a carry. Veteran Jamaal Williams added 306 yards on the ground with 2.9 yards a carry while rookie Kendre Miller only added 156 yards on 3.8 yards a carry...
