Cam Jordan joined the final episode of NFL Total Access recently and discussed Chase Young, Kirk Cousins and the Falcons, cold-weather tweet and Sean Payton returning the Superdome.

By John Hendrix - Saints News Network/SI

NFL Network said good to NFL Total Access on Friday night, as the final episode aired live with several guest appearances. One of those was Saints defensive end Cam Jordan, who is notorious for bringing the soundbites with him. His first question was around what it was going to be like to have another first-round pick on the line opposite of him, who is Chase Young.

"I think Chase Young is going to be great for our defense," Jordan said. "We already got Carl Granderson, who's stellar these last couple of years. I think, with growth, him being on the opposite side when he gets the right health, physically. He's going to be another piece we can add on. At some point in my mind, I'm spinning like it's going to be me, Chase and Carl Granderson on the field at the same time on a crucial third down and I'm probably going to have to go in the middle. I don't care. Whatever that takes. I'll line up and be that Za’Darius Smith over the middle roaming and trying to get active. I think it adds another weapon to our defense."

Young was signed in the offseason to a one-year, $13 million contract and it was announced that he was undergoing a neck procedure that the team knew about and that he'd miss part of training camp. The interview can be viewed starting at the 18:41 mark. ...

13 Saints free agents remain unsigned as OTAs kick off

Organized team activities (OTAs) are kicking off around the NFL with 21 teams gathering for workouts on Monday, May 20, with the New Orleans Saints starting their program on Tuesday, May 21. But there’s a baker’s dozen of players from last year’s Saints team who are still looking for work as we move into the summer. Many of them will be hoping for a spot on training camp rosters around the league, and some of them may return to New Orleans, but there will be some players left on the outside looking in when camp starts in late July.

And there are some big names in the list. Starters like wide receiver Michael Thomas and free safety Marcus Maye are both still hanging around in free agency. So are backups the Saints valued highly like wideout Lynn Bowden, plus offensive linemen Max Garcia and Cameron Erving. There are also players working their way back from injuries like linebacker Andrew Dowell, running back Eno Benjamin, and offensive lineman Trai Turner.

Here’s a quick look at the list as OTAs begin around the NFL:

Now that rookie minicamp has passed and OTAs are on their way, fans and media alike are starting to get a better idea of what their favorite NFL teams will look like.

The New Orleans Saints have addressed a lot of their biggest needs through the draft and free agency, adding to the offensive line and skilled player spots mainly.

When you look at what other teams in the NFC South have done, it begs the question of how the Black and Gold will finish in the division for 2024.

The Atlanta Falcons signed Kirk Cousins over the offseason to a 4-year, $180M deal with $100M guaranteed. However...

Week 2 Game Preview: Saints at Cowboys

After opening their 2024 season at home, the New Orleans Saints will hit the road for the first time in week two, traveling to Austin, Texas to face off with the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys made surprisingly few moves this offseason after finishing with the NFC’s second-best record (three teams tied at 12-5, earned No. 2 seed). They lost players such as Tyron Smith, Tony Pollard, Dante Fowler and Tyler Biadasz while only adding Royce Freeman, Ezekiel Elliot and Erik Kendricks in free agency.

They did address some needs in the NFL Draft with guys such as Tyler Guyton and Marshawn...

The New Orleans Saints do not have a kind start to their 2024 schedule. We take a look at that early stretch.

With the addition of Chase Young in the offseason, you start to wonder about the pass rush. Cam Jordan thinks Young is a welcome addition.

With the scheduled release, we now know how much the Black and Gold will travel. Believe it or not, 13,000 miles is near the middle.

The Saints will play three prime time games against the Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers while working to rise above their rivals in the NFC South. While they are tied for the easiest strength of schedule in the league, the Saints themselves aren’t exactly an opponent teams fear of Sundays. They have a lot of doubters to prove wrong in 2024.

Saints Reacts Results: Where will the Saints finish in the division this year?

Earlier this week, we asked readers where they thought the New Orleans Saints will finish in the division this year.

53% of the voters think the Saints will re-claim the title of division champions and come in 1st place in the NFC South. Now that the schedule is out, we know that the Saints will get to open the season at home, star in 3 primetime games and have a late November bye week.

Given that the Saints have one of the easiest schedules this year, fans seem fairly confident in the team’s ability to come out on top of the division and march into the playoffs this year. But first, it...

PFF names Paulson Adebo one of the NFL's most underrated players

Paulson Adebo developed into a player the New Orleans saints could lean on in 2023. The cornerback is going into his fourth season in black and gold, and he’s gotten the team through some tough situations when Marshon Lattimore was sidelined by injuries and Alontae Taylor was getting picked on while learning to cover the slot. Adebo is still searching for his first Pro Bowl Games appearance, but he is well-known to those in the know.

And he’s starting to draw more attention. Pro Football Focus analyst Zoltan Buday, who identified the most underrated player on all 32 teams. Here’s why he...

Saints will play two teams coming off of bye weeks in 2024

NFL teams always want more time to prepare for their next game, but the inverse is also true — it’s frustrating whenever an opposing team is getting more time to rest and plan for them. Fortunately for the New Orleans Saints, they’ll be playing just two teams coming off of bye week breaks in 2024. And both of those matchups are scheduled for kickoff at the Caesars Superdome.

The Cleveland Browns will be off in Week 10 before traveling to New Orleans in Week 11; last year, Cleveland limped into the playoffs with an 11-6 record after injuries sidelined starting quarterback Deshaun Watson...

Every away game on the Saints 2024 schedule

The New Orleans were able to walk out of 2023 without any cold-weather games. This is something Saints players and likely fans were happy to see. In 2024, they won’t be as lucky. The Saints take a trip to New York in early December, but that isn’t it. It gets worse when they have to travel to Lambeau Field to play the Packers on Monday Night Football. Those temperatures will likely be below freezing a couple days before Christmas.

Outside of a few cold-weather games, the Saints travel schedule isn’t too bad. They don’t have more than two road games consecutively. They only have one trip to the west coast and one trip to the northeast, so the traveling is kept to a minimum. Tough games against the Packers, Chiefs and Cowboys are road contests, however, with two of three being on prime time.

As the head coach of the Saints, Dennis Allen is 7-10 outside of the Caesar’s Superdome. Here are the games he needs to win on the roaad in 2024:
