The New Orleans Saints are already looking to add players to their 2025 roster just a couple days after their last season came to a close.

On Tuesday, the team worked out Toronto Argonauts defensive lineman Ralph Holley.

Holley, standing at 6-foot-1 and 285 pounds, tied for the CFL lead with eight sacks in his rookie season, helping his team to a Grey Cup victory. Holley spent his collegiate career at Western Michigan where he amassed 138 tackles, 45.5 for loss, and 20.5 sacks in five years. During his tenure, he earned first and second-team All-MAC honors as one of the top players in...

The difference between Aaron Glenn and Joe Brady's Saints ties

Aaron Glenn and Joe Brady do not represent the same type of connection to the New Orleans Saints. With the speculation around Mickey Loomis prioritizing familiarity, Glenn and Brady are two names that should jump to the front of your mind.

The Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator have built their head coaching resume in their current locations, and they have both spent time in New Orleans.

Hiring Glenn provides a slight semblance of the decision to hire Dennis Allen. It could easily feel like you’re going with another connection to the Sean Payton...

Darren Rizzi is expected to interview for the New Orleans Saints head coaching vacancy, but it won’t be his only interview.

NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill reports the New York Jets have requested to interview the Saints interim head coach for their own head coaching vacancy.

It’s interesting the Jets are pursuing Rizzi when there’s been dwindling chatter of Rizzi getting the job in New Orleans. New York is also going after Aaron Glenn, Joe Brady and Mike Vrabel as well, but now Rizzi is added to the bunch.

Rizzi took over for Dennis Allen just before the Saints’ bye week, and...

The New Orleans Saints are in a state of transition as they move forward in their coaching search to permanently replace Dennis Allen, who had been replaced by Darren Rizzi at least for the interim.

New Orleans has been busy scheduling interviews with candidates, and one of those is former Saints defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn, who is currently the defensive coordinator for the red-hot Detroit Lions.

And that’s Drew Brees’ pick for who should be the next Saints head coach, a position he says should be a “highly sought-after job.”

“He would be my top pick right now,” Brees told me...

Saints vs. Buccaneers Game Recap

On Sunday, the New Orleans Saints played their division rival, the Buccaneers, in Tampa Bay in the season finale. Unable to end their season on a high note, New Orleans lost, and in disappointing fashion.

New Orleans would receive the ball to start out the game and looked better than most probably thought they would. Quarterback Spencer Rattler played well, completing 4/5 of his passes for 29 yards, and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 16 yards on two rushes. However, they would be unable to convert a 3rd & 3 after a pass to wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling went for a loss of...

The New Orleans Saints put in a request to interview Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn early this week. That should come as no surprise. Even if Glenn isn’t the next Saints head coach, New Orleans was going to talk to him. It was just a matter of when, not if.

We now have an answer to the question of when will the Saints meet with Glenn. Per senior NFL insider Josina Anderson, that interview will take place on Friday.

Because the Lions have a first round bye in the NFL playoffs, all Lions personnel can interview for vacant head coaching positions. The one caveat is those...

Chris Olave says he feels 'regular' after season-ending concussion

Chris Olave’s 2024 season was heavily compromised by concussions. The New Orleans Saints’ lead receiver has suffered a concussion every year he’s been in the NFL, and this year he suffered two concussions that kept him out for nine games.

From this point on, concussions will be concern for the wide receiver. Olave’s history makes it hard not to think about it when watching him play, similar to Tua Tagovailoa. Olave will take a look at changing helmets next year in an attempt to lower his chances of future concussions.

In his post-season interview, Olave said he felt, “regular” a couple...

The 2024 New Orleans Saints were finally put to rest in Sunday afternoon’s 27-19 defeat to the playoff-bound Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who clinched their fourth consecutive division title.

Almost exactly a year after tearing his ACL, this week’s breakout player took advantage of injuries in the linebacker room and put together the best performance of his young career. The breakout player from the Saints’ Week 18 loss to the Buccaneers is LB Nephi Sewell.

The 26-year-old posted 8 total tackles (5 solo, 2 TFLs), 2 stops, and his first career sack, while his 78.1 overall grade from Pro Football...

In a recurring theme toward the end of the season, the New Orleans Saints’ strong first-half performance fizzled out on Sunday afternoon. Their 2024 campaign concluded with a 27-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who clinched their fourth straight division title and a trip to the playoffs.

Let’s discuss an overreaction following the Saints’ season finale:

It’s surprising to see some fans completely disregard interim HC Darren Rizzi in this off-season’s interviewing process. While I understand the need for New Orleans to thoroughly evaluate outside candidates and still personally lean...

Vrabel spent the past season with the Cleveland Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant, but his contract expired on Monday, Dec. 30, making him eligible to interview for open head coaching positions immediately.

A list of teams with reported interest in Vrabel:
