Ex-Panther wideout may be an emerging weapon for Saints in 2025.

By Bob Rose - Athlon Sports

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Bub Means may not have had the rookie production he'd hoped for this past season. However, the talented second-year wideout may be a much bigger part of new Saints head coach Kellen Moore's offense.

Means, 24, was the second of three fifth-round picks by the Saints in the 2024 NFL Draft with the 170th overall choice. He was drafted out of the University of Pittsburgh, making him only the eighth Panthers player New Orleans has ever drafted in their 58-year history.

Previous to Means, the Saints had not drafted a Pitt product since DE Greg Romeus 2011. Means was the was the first Panthers draft choice to make the New Orleans roster since RB Craig Heyward, a first-round pick in 1988.

Bub Means - Saints

After a promising but inconsistent preseason, Means saw very light action to start the regular season. Over the first five games, he played only 19 offensive snaps and did not record a catch on only one target. ...

The New Orleans Saints and Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy agreed to terms on a reworked deal Wednesday, per Nick Underhill of NOF Network. While details have yet to be officially announced, if it’s a full restructure, the move could clear around $6.69 million in cap space for the black and gold.

The Saints reportedly began discussing the idea of a restructure with McCoy on Monday, but the 27-year-old was busy living his best life on a Mardi Gras parade float.

Ultimately, the club reached an agreement Wednesday afternoon with the heart and soul of the offense but expect more moves from New...

The New Orleans Saints need to find some help at running back this offseason. Whether that’s through the NFL Draft or free agency, I don’t know, but getting another contributor in the room is going to be important.

If you have done any research into this year’s NFL Draft, you would know that this running back class is absolutely stacked with talent. Ashton Jeanty and Omarion Hampton headline the class, but there is real talent to be found in the mid to late rounds.

Today, we’re going to look at some mid to late round combine standouts that the Saints could target in this year’s NFL...

On Monday, March 3, New Orleans Saints players Rashid Shaheed, Erik McCoy, Bryan Bresee and Alontae Taylor joined the Krewe of Orpheus as they paraded their way down the Uptown route in New Orleans.

This year’s theme "As Above So Below" celebrates the krewe’s 32nd annual parade with over 1300 members.

The Krewe of Orpheus was founded in 1993 by a small group including Harry Connick, Jr., Harry Connick, Sr. and Captain Sonny Borey. It derives its name from the mortal Orpheus, son of the god Apollo and the muse Calliope. The parade rolls on Lundi Gras and culminates with the Orpheuscapade...

The New Orleans Saints’ moves will be a bit limited with the current cap situation, but GM Mickey Loomis had recent comments that talked about the team being a bit more active than last year. This does not mean the team will be wasting money on big names but possibly bringing in more players on 1-year deals than last year. Some cap gymnastics will need to happen, but it can be done without pushing too much money into the future and ruining the cap cleaning the Saints are working towards. The issue with going in this direction, even if it is correct, is that the Saints will miss out on...

The New Orleans Saints are releasing veteran running back Jamaal Williams, per Ari Meirov. Williams has spent two seasons in New Orleans. Williams’ release will save the Saints $1.59 million in cap space.

Williams signed a three-year $12 million contract with the Saints in March 2023. The veteran running back was never able to find his footing in New Orleans, however, running for just 470 yards and two touchdowns in his two seasons. Williams signed with the Saints after career year with the Detroit Lions, in which he ran for 1,066 yards and 17 touchdowns.

New Orleans’ offense will likely...
