One look at the Saints’ depth chart along the offensive line and fans would be forgiven for having a bit of the shivers. New Orleans, more than any other team it seems, routinely needs backup offensive linemen to play major snaps.

In 2017, eight different players played at least 80 snaps, meaning three backups saw a significant enough amount of action. In 2018 it appears on the surface the veteran depth that was so helpful the previous year has evaporated and the club may want to consider finding reinforcments.

Recently, Bleacher Report took a stab at naming the seven best remaining free agents. While former Saints’ safety Kenny Vaccaro is listed, New Orleans may be better served showing interest in former Titans’ offensive lineman Brian Schwenke.

Mel Kiper, NFL draft analyst for ESPN, dropped his latest mock draft Tuesday morning. In a two-round projection, he has the New Orleans Saints selecting a quarterback in the first round and a cornerback in the second.

Shedeur Sanders is Kiper’s top-ranked quarterback of the 2025 draft. He believes that if Sanders falls to the ninth pick, the Saints and the former Colorado Buffalo will make a good match.

The first thing Kiper mentions is his completion percentage, which was 74% last season, according to ESPN. Additionally, in 2024 he had 4,134 passing yards with 37 touchdowns and 10...

The 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away in Green Bay.

The New Orleans Saints, looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2020, will need to have a strong draft class in order to help make that happen for new head coach Kellen Moore.

Here is my mock draft that I think could be a slam dunk for the Black and Gold:

The 2024 Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year is coming off of a 12-sack season while leading his team into the College Football Playoff. He had a really strong showing in the Scouting Combine and will definitely fill a major need for New Orleans.

The Saints are...

Jennings: Is Dylan Sampson the perfect complement to Alvin Kamara?

The New Orleans Saints need to inject some life into their backfield alongside 29-year-old Alvin Kamara, and with the 2025 NFL Draft class loaded at the running back position, this seems like the perfect time to add a game-changer to the mix—someone who can replicate the one-two punch that’s worked so well for New Orleans in the past. If they can land a future starter—which I don’t anticipate being difficult given the depth of this incoming group—they may even find Kamara’s eventual successor, though AK still looks to have plenty of gas left in the tank. That said, could another Tennessee...

NEW ORLEANS — With the 2025 NFL Draft just weeks away, the New Orleans Saints are the betting favorite to land Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

The Saints currently hold the ninth pick in the first round.

Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, is expected to be the second quarterback taken in the draft after Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

Last week, Saints wide receivers coach Keith Williams and quarterbacks coach Scott Tolzien attended the Colorado Buffaloes pro day.

Both Fanduel and DraftKings have the Saints as the favorite to pick Sanders...

Cam Skattebo, a running back from Arizona State, is one of the top prospects at his position in the draft this year. If the New Orleans Saints don’t land Jeanty in round one, they should consider taking a swing at him.

Skattebo, a native of Rio Linda, California, has been with the Sun Devils for the past two seasons. In 2024, he rushed for 1,711 yards, breaking the school's single-season record. Additionally, he broke their record for most rushing touchdowns in a single season, with 21.

Furthermore, in 2024, he was a first-team All-American, first-team All-Big 12, and the Peach Bowl...

The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and the New Orleans Saints hold the No. 9 pick in the draft. For the first time in a while, they’re in prime position to go get a quarterback in the first round (which they haven’t done since selecting Archie Manning back in 1971), and there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding them and Colorado QB, Shedeur Sanders.

Today, we’re building a three-round mock draft around the Saints trading up to select their QB of the future.

There’s been some buzz around the Brown and Giants possibly selecting Sanders, but in this mock (I used PFF’s mock draft...
