When you're thinking about asking your employer for a pay raise, there's usually a good time and a bad time to do that, and it appears that Mark Ingram might have picked a bad time.

According to NFL.com, Ingram wants a new contract from the Saints, and he's likely going to skip out on the team's entire voluntary offseason workout program unless he gets a new deal. Ingram has already missed the first three weeks of the team's offseason program, which started on April 16. Ingram isn't expected to show up for any offseason activities until June 12, when the Saints kickoff their mandatory minicamp, and that's when the drama could start if Ingram is still intent on getting a new deal.

The biggest problem for Ingram is that he doesn't really have any leverage right now when it comes to contract negotiations. For one, the Saints running back was hit with a four-game suspension on Tuesday, which isn't going to help him at the bargaining table. By the way, Ingram is allowed to participate in all offseason activities despite the suspension.

Newly-signed running back won't make Saints debut vs. Packers

Earlier this week, Darren Rizzi gave the game plan to replace Alvin Kamara. He mentioned going to a committee approach and listed Kendre Miller, Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims as the players who we’d see in the backfield for the New Orleans Saints.

Notice anyone missing? Rizzi didn’t mention newly-acquired running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Failing to mention him was the first sign the Saints didn’t plan on bringing Edwards-Helaire up to the active roster this week.

New Orleans isn’t bringing any players up from the practice squad against the Green Bay Packers.

Hot take: Saints wide receiver will end his scoring drought in revenge game

Last week, Chase Young had the opportunity to play against the team that drafted him, the Washington Commanders. The defensive end answered the call and put up his highest sacks total as a Saint. It’s Marquez Valdez-Scantling’s turn on Monday Night Football. Can he put up a similar performance to Young against his first team?

Valdes-Scantling had just two catches for 25 yards when the Kansas City Chiefs played at Lambeau Field last year. The New Orleans Saints deploy Valdes-Scantling in a much more prominent role than he was used in Kansas City, however.

Alvin Kamara’s groin injury takes...

New Orleans Saints announce uniform combo for Week 16 game at Packers

The New Orleans Saints have decided to go away from their black jersey black pants combo for something a little different ahead of their Week 16 matchup with the Green Bay Packers. They will opt for their color rush uniforms, however this time they will go with the traditional gold helmet instead of the newer black helmet that they had phased in recently.

To be frank, the white and gold with the gold helmet instead of the black helmet with slight gold colorations makes alot more sense and is significantly more visually appealing in my eyes, and for what could be a snow game, could make for some intriguing mind games. White jerseys in snow is a hit or miss concept, as it could make the quarterback’s life difficult from either team, so we will see how that plays out.

With the color rush the Saints are 9-10 all-time, their second-worst record of any combo, so we will see if they can manage to turn things around on Monday Night Football and break even with the relatively new combination.

Here is the record for each Saints jersey combination since 2006:

Sacking Jordan Love must be a major key for the Saints defense

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LeFleur praised Jordan Love for being, “one of the best I’ve ever been around at avoiding sacks and negative plays.” As the New Orleans Saints visit the Packers for Monday Night Football, the Saints must do what most have failed to do, take down Love consistently.

If New Orleans can get a few sacks on Love, it would help to take away the run game on that set of downs. Love and his band of wide receivers are extremely talented, but Josh Jacobs is the biggest threat to the Saints defense.

The Saints have the sixth-worst rushing defense in the NFL, and they...

Following the Atlanta Falcon’s win on Sunday, the New Orleans Saints have officially been eliminated from playoff contention.

The playoffs were highly unlikely for the 5-9 Saints, who are in Green Bay to take on the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football tonight, but now it is official that vacation will start early in New Orleans.

This upcoming offseason, the Saints will be all over the headlines as they will look to once again get themselves under the salary cap threshold as well as hiring a new head coach to lead them into the future.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Dallas...

The New Orleans Saints have been eliminated from the playoffs. By way of the Atlanta Falcons win over the New York Giants, the Saints playoff hopes are now over. Despite winning three of their last five games, the Saints dug themselves too deep a hole to come out of in the middle of the season with their seven-game losing streak. All they have left to play for is pride and to see what they have from young players like Spencer Rattler, Kool-Aid McKinstry and Kendre Miller, all of whom will start on Monday.

Despite also being third in their division like the Saints are, the Green Bay...

The New Orleans Saints fell to 5-9 after losing a thriller to the Washington Commanders and will now travel to Green Bay to take on the 10-4 Packers on Monday Night Football. The odds are heavily stacked against the Saints as they are 13.5 underdogs.

The Saints' pass rush is coming off its best game since 2020, recording 8 sacks against the Washington Commanders. Now the New Orleans defense will face one of the hottest offenses in the league led by Jordan Love. The Packers have scored 30+ points in their last four games and have allowed just three sacks. If the Saints hope to slow down...

Another week of injury hurdles for the New Orleans Saints as they prepare for their battle against the Green Bay Packers. Fantasy points for the Saints will be very minimal if you have any of the starters. Adjusting your line-up will be very tough. But let’s take look at what possible points can be made this week.

Derek Carr- Sit

Derek Carr’s status is now clear for Monday’s game against the Green Bay Packers as he has been ruled him out, but Coach Rizzi also has dismissed speculation about Carr being shut down for the season. Rizzi emphasized that Carr would likely need to practice...
