Natrell Jamerson, Kamrin Moore's 'football IQ' helping Saints rookies navigate NFL learning curve

Natrell Jamerson and Kamrin Moore have a lot in common.
One, Jamerson, played safety last year at Wisconsin but is playing cornerback for the Saints, and Moore's a college cornerback who's making the move to safety in New Orleans. Both players have extensive special-teams resumés.
For the Saints' purposes, the similarity that might matter most is the knowledge of the game both defensive backs bring to the meeting room. For Jamerson and Moore, the NFL learning curve is a little shorter than it is for most.
"Both of those rookies came from good programs, and in those programs they had the opportunity to play a lot of zone and a lot of man, which kind of gives them an upper hand on a lot of college players," Saints cornerbacks coach Aaron Glenn said. "Most college players that come to the league now, all they play is man-to-man."

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons will duke it out in the Superdome this Sunday afternoon. These two teams couldn’t be going in opposite directions. After starting 2-0, the Saints have lost seven straight to fall to 2-7 while the Falcons started 1-2 but have won five of their last six and now sit at 6-3.

Saints getting healthier, Darren Rizzi to make debut as interim head coach
NEW ORLEANS — Darren Rizzi says it is his goal to become an NFL head coach. He's now got eight games to show what he can do as the Saints interim coach. Injuries and a roster that had no depth, play a role in Dennis Allen getting fired and Rizzi has to battle through the same issues.
His team could get a little healthier for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Rizzi was named interim head coach on Monday after the Saints fired Allen following the team's seven-game losing streak.
