Nephi Sewell is back with the New Orleans Saints for another season, a source told Athlon Sports.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Chargers released edge rusher Joey Bosa. For the first time in his career, he is set to test free agency.

Over the years, Bosa has become an iconic member of the Chargers. His 72.0 sacks rank second in team history, behind Leslie O’Neal, who had 105.5. Bosa is also a five-time Pro Bowler and was named the rookie of the year in 2016. He is sure to be a hot commodity once free agency starts.

However, his recent health issues have resulted in a career decline, with him playing only 28 games since 2022 and adding only 14 sacks to his total. Bosa's five sacks in...

The New Orleans Saints have some cap space issues to deal with before making any signings this year, but re-signing or bringing in players on short-term cheap deals can still be done. Paulson Adebo and Chase Young are the two main upcoming Saints free agents, but their contracts will be very pricy for a team trying to rebuild the cap space. The team’s focus could be more on the cheaper players out of contract that could still make an impact next season.

This move seems like a no-brainer, and a couple of weeks ago, it may have looked unlikely. Over recent days, players like Tyler Lockett...
