The New Orleans Saints are reportedly a team that is in hot pursuit of Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. Be it in a trade or possibly if he soon hits the NFL free-agent market.

After eight seasons and 16 games, the Raiders decided in December that the Derek Carr era in their organization had officially come to an end. The decision was made after the team underperformed on offense in 2022-2023, after being a key element in their 10-win showing the previous season.

Despite the offensive reputation of new head coach Josh McDaniels, his style ended up not being a good fit for the skillset of the four-time Pro Bowl QB. While the 31-year-old is no longer welcome in Las Vegas, there are still expected to be quite a few suitors for Carr’s services around the NFL.

As the New Orleans Saints are entering their offseason, all eyes are on the decision on the next head coach. When that next head coach gets to his office, he’ll have some decisions to make.

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox unveiled his free agency big board, and two Saints cracked top-50. Chase Young was ranked as the 47th best free agent, and Paulson Adebo made the list slightly above Young at 43.

Both players present interesting decisions for the next head coach. Adebo is a question mark because of health, and that could work in their favor. Alontae Taylor and Kool-Aid McKinstry...

The end of the season unfortunately means the end of coaching tenures for some head coach. We’ve passed Black Monday, and we’re now in the swing of the league-wide coaching search with six vacancies. There were three firings after the season to join the three coaches fired during the season.

The New Orleans Saints moved on from Dennis Allen over two months ago, so he’s had time to get used to life not being a head coach. This also isn’t his first time being fired in the middle of the season. The Oakland Raiders dismissed him after just four games in 2014.

During this time the former head...

You can now add Reggie Bush to the list with Drew Brees and Jonathan Vilma as former New Orleans Saints players who believe Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn should be the next head coach of their former team.

Brees, Bush and Vilma were all teammates in New Orleans with Glenn in 2008, and Brees was still on the team when Glenn joined the coaching staff in 2016.

Glenn’s history in New Orleans lends itself to one of Bush’s important criteria for the next head coach. Bush believes the Saints “need somebody who is going to be able to lead not only the team, but the city as well...

Haynesworth signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent at the conclusion of the 2024 NFL draft out of Tulane. Haynesworth spent the majority of his time with the Saints on the team’s practice squad, while also seeing a short time with the New England Patriots during the month of October. Former New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen spoke with FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer on the “Unbreakable” podcast to share his reaction to his midseason firing. While most of the conversation surrounded the toll on mental health that comes with such a high-profile departure, Allen also reflected on his time with the Saints, which he doesn’t view as a failure despite an 18-25 record and three seasons out of the playoffs.

Allen is free to feel that way, and it’s probably a healthier decision than to wallow in grief. But Gayle Benson wouldn’t have made the decision to fire him if he hadn’t...

The New Orleans Saints are, in fact, requesting an interview with Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury. New reporting from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and NewOrleans.Football’s Mike Triplett confirms their interest in the former Cardinals head coach, as NFL insider Josina Anderson said earlier this week.

Kingsbury didn’t have a ton of success as the Arizona Cardinals head coach, but he’s shown a knack for developing young quarterbacks and his work with Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels has put him back on the NFL’s radar. Whether the Saints are looking to maximize...
