Let’s not overreact to this, but Aaron Glenn left his Tuesday meeting with the New York Jets without a deal in hand to become their new head coach. And neither did Lance Newmark, the Washington Commanders executive interviewing to become their new general manager. They worked together on the Detroit Lions and popular perception has been that they could be a package deal in New York, which would add an appeal to the job Glenn couldn’t find on the New Orleans Saints.
