The New Orleans Saints appear to be closing in on an offensive coordinator for Kellen Moore’s staff and it looks to be the name that was expected all along.

NFL insider Josina Anderson reported on Tuesday afternoon that the Saints are “currently working to finalize a deal” with current Philadelphia Eagles quarterback coach Doug Nussmeier. This works in tandem with what New Orleans.Football’s Nick Underhill reported earlier in the day.

Nussmeier is a former Saints backup and fourth-round draft pick. His playing career was short but he has been a football coach ranging from college, NFL...

Former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak continues to bring his fellow colleagues to his new home in Seattle.

The Seahawks are hiring former Saints senior offensive assistant Rick Dennison as the team’s run game coordinator under Kubiak, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Dennison spent the entire 2024 season working with the Saints offensive line after a three-year hiatus following his time in Minnesota.

Dennison, a three-time Super Bowl champion assistant, was a pivotal piece in the improvement of the offensive line this past season in New Orleans. We saw players like...

Saints raise season ticket prices after posting their worst record in decades

The New Orleans Saints have a proud fanbase, but they have a strange way of expressing appreciation for it. Season ticket renewal invoices went out this week, and prices are going up — fresh off the team’s worst record in two decades. On top of that, the Saints will play fewer home games at the Caesars Superdome in 2025 (eight of them) than they did in 2024 (nine). The 17-game schedule has AFC and NFC teams trade off an extra home game each year.

So it’s safe to say Gayle Benson didn’t invest so much money in improving the Superdome out of charity. She’s going to get that back by raising...

The New Orleans Saints have hired Scott Tolzien as their quarterbacks coach and Joel Thomas as their running backs coach.

Tolzien is a former undrafted NFL quarterback and spent time with the San Diego Chargers, San Francisco, and Indianapolis Colts. After a brief stint with the Birmingham Iron in the AFF, Tolzien joined Mike McCarthy’s coaching staff in 2020 with now Saints head coach Kellen Moore. Moore and Tolzien were part of the Dallas coaching staff from 2020 to 2023.

Hiring the new Saints quarterbacks coach is a key addition with New Orleans likely to begin developing a young...

The New Orleans Saints have found their new head coach in Kellen Moore and have now shifted their focus to filling out the rest of their staff. They’ve already made a couple of hires, but one of their biggest job openings, offensive coordinator, is still open. However, it does seem the Saints have their eyes on someone.

As of Tuesday morning, former Philadelphia Eagles QB Coach, Doug Nussmeier, is still the favorite to land the Saints offensive coordinator job according to a report by Nick Underhill.

Nussmeier has been an obvious candidate for this spot ever since reports started...

As the New Orleans Saints continue to shape head coach Kellen Moore’s staff, the hiring of Philadelphia Eagles run game specialist/offensive line coach could be one of their most significant additions so far.

The Eagles’ 3,048 rushing yards, 29 rushing touchdowns, and 25 runs of 20+ yards each ranked second in the league in 2024, while their 164 first-down rushes and seven runs of 40+ yards were tied for the most in the league. RB Saquon Barkley was also named the NFL AP Offensive Player of the Year in recognition of his monster 2,005 yard and 13 touchdown season.

T.J. Paganetti has...

Kellen Moore's latest hire may have tipped his hand on 2025 strategy

The New Orleans Saints just pulled in a big grab on their offensive staff with T.J. Paganetti, per NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill. Paganetti was the Philadelphia Eagles’ run game specialist and assistant offensive line coach last season. This hire makes him the first coach Moore has pulled over from his last stop in Philly.

There are two noteworthy aspects of this move. First of all, Nick Sirianni made it clear he wasn’t going to allow any coaches to follow Moore for a lateral move. This would mean Sirianni either softened his stance or Paganetti is being promoted. The latter is...

We aren’t out of the woods yet, but it appears a favorite has emerged in the New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator search: longtime Kellen Moore assistant Doug Nussmeier, per NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill.

Nussmeier, 54, has coached under Moore at every stop in the NFL. At first assigned to the tight ends room on the Dallas Cowboys, he pivoted to the quarterbacks and was instrumental in coaching Dak Prescott up to some of the best years of his career. He followed Moore to the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles as quarterbacks coach.

So the two have known each other...

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Scott Tolzien is being hired as the New Orleans Saints’ new quarterbacks coach. Sorry, Chase Daniel.

Kellen Moore has yet to name his offensive coordinator, but he is filling out the positional coaches. This isn’t Tolzien and Moore’s first rodeo together. When Moore was the offensive coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys, Tolzien was a coaching assistant from 2020 to 2022. Before that, Tolzien worked as a backup in the NFL from 2011 to 2017.

After Moore became the Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator, the Cowboys promoted Tolzien to quarterbacks coach...
