New Orleans Saints announced that they have agreed to terms with free agent tight end J.P Holtz on Monday, April 4, 2022. Check out J.P. in action with the Chicago Bears during his career.

The New Orleans Saints announced today that they have signed free agent tight end J.P. Holtz and terminated the contract of quarterback Blake Bortles. The announcements were made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.
Holtz, 6-3, 255 was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as a free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft out of Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh native has appeared in 44 regular season games for Washington (2019) and the Chicago Bears (2019-21), recording seven receptions for 91 yards, while also contributing on special teams on multiple units with 11 career tackles. ...

A Saints assistant coach may be joining Klint Kubiak on the Seahawks
The New Orleans Saints may be losing another component of their 2024 coaching staff, as quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko was given permission to interview with the Seattle Seahawks. NEW ORLEANS — Here's my take on where the Saints coaching search stands.
The fact that the Saints didn't hire a head coach on Wednesday greatly increases the chances that Kellen Moore will be the team's next head coach.
Because if they were going to hire any of the other three candidates, they could have done it on Wednesday. The Saints cannot officially hire Kellen Moore until after the Super Bowl.

Saints have three of PFN's top 100 pending free agents in 2025
The New Orleans Saints offseason is going to be an intriguing one, as they have 19 pending unrestricted free agents who will hit the market as of this juncture. With that said, three of those free agents were ranked in the top 100 2025 pending free agents list by ProFootballNetwork. These three may not surprise any Saints fans, however, a notable omission was tight end Juwan Johnson, who did not end up making the cut despite the positional scarcity.

Both defensive coordinators in the Super Bowl are former Saints coaches
The New Orleans Saints were about the furthest thing you could be from a Super Bowl team this season, firing their head coach halfway through the season on the way to a 5-12 record and a last place finish in the NFC South. However, two former coaches of theirs will be the defensive coordinators in Super Bowl LIX. Vic Fangio is calling defensive plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, and Steve Spagnuolo is his counterpart on the Kansas City Chiefs.
