The New Orleans Saints have started to work on their offseason meetings with some prospects they would like to speak with from the 2025 NFL Draft class. In that group is Iowa Hawkeyes linebacker Nick Jackson, who met with a whopping 13 teams at the Hula Bowl recently, including twice with the Chicago Bears.

Jackson is a six-year collegiate player, gaining a year due to the Covid pandemic, and being eligible to apply for a sixth-year waiver due to the shooting tragedy which occurred at the University of Virginia, where he attended previously and unfortunately lost three teammates in this...

The New Orleans Saints head coaching vacancy is heating up, with Mike McCarthy previously indicating that he will be focusing on the 2026 head coaching cycle, the current belief is that Kellen Moore may be the man to beat at the moment. This has been discussed across a wide variety of platforms by different reporters, most recently by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“Certainly it seems like Kellen Moore is viewed as the favorite to be the next head coach of the New Orleans Saints,” Rapoport reported from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. “It has been very clear they have not officially made any...

The New Orleans Saints are entering an offseason where they have 19 pending free agents, which leaves them with a lot of decisions to make. One of the higher-priority free agents that they should be looking to bring back is defensive end Chase Young, who had a solid 2024 season and looked to be a quality player on the defensive side of the ball at many points.

While the price tag may be high, Jeremy Fowler reports for ESPN that the Saints are keeping an “open mind” to signing him back beyond 2024:

This is an interesting development, and while somewhat expected due to Young’s high level...

The New Orleans Saints first overall pick proved to be their best in 2024, as the Oregon State product proved to be a rock at left tackle, playing 98% of the Saints offensive snaps and playing them very well. As he continues to develop Fuaga should prove to be a piece the Saints can rebuild their offensive line around. Other rookies of note include QB Spencer Rattler, who showed flashes of his very high ceiling this year in relief of Derek Carr, and CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, who also was forced into action due to injuries and showed some promise.

MVS was one of the more interesting stories...

In a recent interview with WDSU’s Fletcher Mackel, 2025 draft prospect Jaxson Dart shared some insight on his relationship with legendary former New Orleans Saints and Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning. On top of that, he also shared how he would feel if the Saints call his name in April’s NFL draft.

“Yeah Archie’s been amazing, me and him have grown a very close relationship, talk to each other on a consistent basis, and he’s been a guy that I really looked up to ever since I was at Ole Miss. So just trying to follow under his wing,” Dart said after Tuesday’s practice session.

Joe Brady dropping out will leave a stench on head coach announcement

Joe Brady may not have been the candidate the New Orleans Saints landed on, but it’ll be extremely difficult to wipe away the impact of Brady stepping out of the Saints’ head coaching race. This isn’t about who the best coach will be, because that won’t be decided for a long time. It’s about the view of the Saints hiring process.

New Orleans appears to be aggressively recruiting Kellen Moore. It’s the first candidate you can say that about since Aaron Glenn.

If Moore wins a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles, you can sell the Saints picking a Super Bowl winning coordinator. It could...

The 2025 New Orleans Saints offseason will be filled with some difficult decisions that affect the team's long-term future. Much of the focus will be on the next head coach and which player’s contracts get restructured, but it may be time to start looking at the fifth-year options of two players. The Saints’ 2022 first-round picks, Chris Olave and Trevor Penning, can now have their fifth-year options picked up, and the deadline is May 1. Yes, this is almost three months away, so the Saints have time to decide, but this future decision will impact their 2025 draft plan. I expect the Saints...

The New Orleans Saints have quite a few pending free agents, but maybe none more important than defensive end Chase Young. In the recent installation of the top 100 free agents put out by ProFootballNetwork, they ranked every 2025 pending free agent.

On this list were three Saints players, and Chase Young was the first of the bunch, coming in at No. 24 in the rankings. Their evaluation of him was as follows:

Young also ranks in third among edge rushers on this list, behind only Josh Sweat and Khalil Mack who are first and second respectively. He is being viewed very highly in this free...

While a lot of the conversation around the New Orleans Saints is focused on the future, there are a handful of veterans that will still be around and won’t be content with tanking.

One such player is veteran safety Tyrann Mathieu, who just wrapped up his third season with the Saints and 12th in the NFL. He may not be the ‘honey badger’ anymore, but he was still one of the few players on the defense that was a true playmaker last season.

Mathieu finished the year with 62 tackles, one of which went for a loss. He was tied for the team lead in interceptions with three. In all three...

The “three-peat”. An elusive statistic where a team is able to complete three championship victories back to back in their respective sport. This is something that does not happen every day, and even the long-time dynasty New England Patriots were unable to complete this task. In the NFL, it has never happened before, and this is the only sport of the “Big Four” in North America to not have a team ever three-peat.

The last North American sports league to have this feat accomplished was the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers, who completed it with their 2000, 2001, and 2002 seasons. Next up...

The New Orleans Saints had some success with their first round pick Taliese Fuaga last season, but would they still go with him if given another chance today?

That’s the hypothetical that Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport looked at in his recent re-do of the 2024 NFL draft. For the Saints, they now decided to go with Olu Fashanu out of the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Here is what Davenport had to say about the pick:

Fashanu was originally off the board, but the New York Jets now selected J.J. McCarthy this time around. While Fashanu was certainly a more highly-touted prospect than Fuaga at...
