NEW ORLEANS — News that former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is now flying into New Orleans as head coach had Saints fans feeling blessed.
“I think it’s fantastic. He’s a great choice. I can’t think of anybody better,” said Saints fan Mike Serio.
Serio has cheered the black and gold his entire life. He hopes Moore’s experience on the sideline and on the field will pick up needed yards for New Orleans.
“When he was at Boise State, he was a hell of a quarterback. He was a record-setting quarterback,” said Serio.
Former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley has emerged as a serious candidate for the New Orleans Saints open defensive coordinator position, per Jordan Schultz.
Newly hired Saints head coach Kellen Moore will be looking to assemble his coaching staff. Moore and Staley were on the Chargers coaching staff in 2023 during Moore’s one season in Los Angeles. Staley was fired as the Chargers head coach in 2023 and Moore’s release soon followed.
Staley started his NFL coaching career in 2017 as the Chicago Bears outside linebackers' coach. Staley would then have stints with the...

This leaves him with a monumental list of tasks and decisions to make in his first offseason as a head coach, as the team has quite a few discussions to be had regarding the roster. Moore will have a lot to go over in this first offseason, and the decisions he makes now could facilitate success in the future if handled correctly, or failure if handled poorly. Here are some of the critical decisions he will have to make in the coming months for the team:
With the news on Kellen Moore becoming the next head coach of the New Orleans Saints, there’s been much speculation on who Moore will bring in to fill his staff. Many of the coaches that have come up in these discussions are guys that Moore is familiar either being apart of the Philadelphia Eagles staff this past season or from his ties in L.A. (with both the Rams and Chargers) and the Dallas Cowboys.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was asked recently about Moore possibly bringing in coaches from his Eagles staff, but Sirianni made it clear that his staff would remain intact if not for a...
The New Orleans Saints have announced today that Kellen Moore has agreed to become the 19th head coach in franchise history.
“I am excited to join the New Orleans Saints and deeply appreciate the faith that Mrs. Benson and the entire Saints organization have placed in me,” Moore said “I look forward to embracing the challenges ahead and am eager to get started. I would also like to thank the Philadelphia Eagles for an incredible 2024 season. I’m excited to begin this new chapter.”

It’s official. The New Orleans Saints announced a deal with Kellen Moore to become their new head coach on Tuesday, confirming the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator will remain in the city where he just won a Super Bowl championship.
Moore, 36, was a star quarterback in college at Boise State before he rapidly climbed the ladder in the NFL coaching ranks. He’s called plays for several teams but reached rare heights with the Eagles this season. Now he’ll have an opportunity to build his own roster and show what he can do as the league’s youngest head coach. He’s the nineteenth head...
The New Orleans Saints have finalized a deal with Kellen Moore to become their next head coach, and with that, he now has a lot of work to get done in his first few weeks. Before discussing that however, we have to discuss coach Moore himself, and what he brings to this Saints team that so desperately needed an overhaul in the coaching department, and will no doubt get it.
One of the primary factors he brings to the team is an offensive pedigree, which is a huge addition for a team that has struggled immensely on that side of the ball. Every person who has spoken about him to the media...
