The New Orleans Saints ruled out four players ahead of Sunday’s week 17 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. Of the four players ruled out, all are starters including two offensive linemen. Wide receiver Chris Olave is questionable as he works his way back from suffering multiple concussions this season. Tight end Juwan Johnson and defensive end Payton Turner were taken off the injury report and will play Sunday.

The Raiders only ruled out one player for Sunday and all others that appeared on the injury report will play.

The New Orleans Saints are at a point where injured players should rest their bodies, because the team doesn’t have much to play for collectively. That sentiment applies to Derek Carr and Chris Olave, but it doesn’t apply to Alvin Kamara.

What makes Kamara different? Kamara is 50 yards away from his first season with 1,000 rushing yards. He has a clear and valuable objective he can hit. Carr’s version of that would have been playing the Las Vegas Raiders this week.

If you’re living outside the New Orleans Saints’ or Las Vegas Raiders’ home market, you could have a hard time catching Week 17’s game at the Caesars Superdome. Kickoff is set for Noon CT/ 1 p.m. ET.

Thanks to this broadcast map from 506 Sports, we can see that this week’s Saints game is being shown locally in just each team’s home market. Most of America will be watching the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game in the FOX early window, while New York Giants fans and Indianapolis Colts faithful will see their teams at home, too.

The New Orleans Saints ruled out multiple starters for Week 17’s Las Vegas Raiders game on Friday’s final injury report, most notably running back Alvin Kamara (groin) and quarterback Derek Carr (left hand). It’s already Week 17 and the New Orleans Saints are set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders in the Caesars Superdome on Sunday, which will be their last home for the 2024 season.

Earlier this week, we asked our readers whether they thought the Saints were headed in the right direction and just 8% said they think that the Saints are.

This comes after New Orleans lost 34-0 in Lambeau to the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. If the Saints are victorious at home Sunday afternoon, I expect those numbers to come climbing up next week.
