Here is a list of the Saints’ free agents in 2019, according to Spotrac.

Mark Ingram, RB. The Saints’ lead back turned 28 back in December and has one year left on his contract. Used sparingly early in his career, Ingram enjoys relatively good health for a back hist age as a result. This offseason, however, the NFL suspended Ingram for four games to begin the season, which could put a major damper on his eventual production as he pursues a new contract. 2018 Salary: $4 million

Manti Te’o, LB. The veteran linebacker came to New Orleans last offseason and was an immediate aid for the Saints’ front seven in his initial year with the club, serving primarily as a run defender. While the team wants to get younger here, they could make room for Te’o. 2018 Salary: $1.7 million

Former Saints running back Reggie Bush has his own opinions on who should be the next NFL MVP, something that has been a subject of controversy.

The primary players being considered are Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. Also in consideration are quarterbacks Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals) and Jared Goff (Detroit Lions).

Perhaps controversially, Bush said he would eliminate another famous Louisiana name from the race. That is former LSU quarterback Burrow, who is up against the fact that...

The New Orleans Saints are picking up where they left off with their search for a new head coach following a historic snowstorm in the city that grounded a lot of flights for potential candidates.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is flying in on Thursday for an in-person interview on Friday, while New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka is flying in on Friday for an in-person interview on Saturday.

The Black and Gold are also expected to conduct second interviews with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady and...

Cameron Jordan has been a Saint for the last 14 years, and has often expressed a desire to finish his career with the New Orleans Saints. His father, Steve Jordan, played his entire career with the Minnesota Vikings, and the younger Jordan hoped to do the same. But for the first time in his career, his hope wavered.

The 2024 season was a frustrating one for Jordan, especially early on. One of the notable low moments of the season came after the Saints’ loss on the road to the Carolina Panthers. Instead of joining his teammates in the locker room, Jordan was spotted walking alone down a...

With the news of highly coveted defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn accepting the New York Jets head coaching job, the New Orleans Saints will continue the search for their lead guy.

It was reported earlier in the week that coaches Mike McCarthy, Anthony Weaver, and Mike Kafka would be meeting with the team sometime this week after the recent snowstorm led to delay. Along with these candidates though, the team is also expected to meet for a second time with offensive coordinators Joe Brady and Kellen Moore.

A meeting with these two, will almost certainly come after this weekend’s games...

Organizational dysfunction.

These two words get thrown around social media spaces like people’s lives depend on using the phrase every chance they get. But what is true organizational dysfunction? Well, we got a glimpse of it with the Jacksonville Jaguars in recent years, and they finally made the decision to move on from general manager Trent Baalke.

It starts with complacency. Complacency with being mediocre, and rather than having the ambition to be the best, focusing on just getting back to being “good” or “serviceable.” The Jacksonville Jaguars struggled mightily in finding the...

The New Orleans Saints are completely focused on their head coaching search, but with some bad weather hitting the New Orleans area on Tuesday, they’ve had to hit pause on some of their interviews.

Since we’re in a bit of a lull right now, I figured we could briefly turn our attention to the NFL Draft and have some fun with a little three-round mock draft while we wait out the snow. The Saints have a top-10 pick for the first time in over 15 years, so this should be an exciting draft for the fans.

With all that said, let’s hop into my first mock draft of the year:

There were a lot of...

The historic snowfall in Louisiana has thrown a wrench in some of the New Orleans Saints’ plans when it comes to the coaching search, but there are still multiple candidates to interview next week.

Aaron Glenn took the New York Jets job a day after his second interview with the team, preventing the Black and Gold from conducting a second interview with him.

The history of New Orleans Saints head coaches has been a relatively short one, with only 15 coaches ever having the opportunity to be the head coach or interim head coach in their 57-year history. Now the Saints find themselves looking for a new head coach, and if their previous history of hirings are any indication, the search could come to a conclusion in the very near future.

The last five non-interim head coach hires are as follows, as well as the exact date they were brought in to lead the Saints:

Based on these dates, the mean of the previous hirings is about 29.4, meaning January...

The New Orleans Saints have officially rescheduled in-person interviews with a couple of head coaching candidates in the wake of the city’s record snowfall, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The team will be flying both Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver and New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka to New Orleans in the next couple of days. Weaver is expected to arrive ahead of Kafka this Friday, while Kafka will be looking to interview on Saturday.

It was also noted that former Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay packers head coach Mike McCarthy will likely have his first...

The New Orleans Saints offseason has kicked off to an extent, with the head coaching search in full effect and some of the procedural roster dealings starting up. One of the first things the Saints handled was handing out reserve/futures deals, in which they gave nine players contracts to stick around for an opportunity at training camp this summer. However, one of their late-season additions was not given a deal yet, and that was local fan favorite Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Edwards-Helaire was added to the Saints as they were dealing with multiple injuries at the running back position, and...

Would Bowling Green TE Harold Fannin Jr. fit the Saints offense? NFL draft projection

The New Orleans Saints enter the offseason with a number of needs to be addressed in the 2025 NFL draft, but one position in particular has plagued them for a few seasons: tight end.

One intriguing player that the Saints could target on Day 2 is Bowling Green Falcons tight end Harold Fannin Jr. He is an exciting receiving threat and exactly what New Orleans needs at the position.

While an exact fit can’t be decided upon until the Saints hire a coach and decided on an offensive coordinator for most players, Fannin is someone that could be used by pretty much any offense in football.

The...
