This is a shame: New Orleans Saints legend and Super Bowl XLIV champion Jahri Evans was not selected for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Evans, the longtime right guard for the Saints and their current assistant offensive line coach, will have to wait another year for the voters to get it right.

Another former New Orleans Saints player will be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. This year it was cornerback Eric Allen, who despite not being the longtime Saint in the class (as opposed to Jahri Evans), was a notable member of the team nonetheless. Allen was a member of the team from 1995 to 1997, where he would receive his sixth and last Pro Bowl nod in his first year with the team.

The New Orleans Saints are truly clearing house from their 2024 coaching staff, as has been evident by many of their coaches leaving for new positions in recent weeks. Take a look around any New Orleans Saints fan page on social media and you’ll find some criticism of Derek Carr. Whether it’s his level of play, his attitude and demeanor, or his ill-advised comments to the media, a lot of people have a bone to pick with him. It doesn’t help that Carr’s contract adds another big point of contention.

There’s some misinformation (or poorly-explained information) going around out there, about how much money the Saints could save by cutting Carr. The New Orleans Saints coaching staff has been undergoing lots of change during this offseason, with the arrival of their new head coach expected to bring more turnover. We’ve seen much of the team’s offensive staff find new destinations in the last couple of weeks with an offensive-minded head coach likely on the horizon in Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore
