Dennis Allen recently reflected with Jay Glazer on his firing from New Orleans. One of the sentiments he expressed was feeling worse for his younger staff members than himself, because Allen has connections around the league to where he was confident he would land on his feet.

New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is interviewing with the Cleveland Browns on Monday, per Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, for what would be a lateral move. The Saints would have given Kubiak permission to speak with the Browns and other teams interested in hiring him as their offensive play caller (like the Seattle Seahawks), which signals that they’ll let a new head coach build his own staff.
