Dennis Allen could have a quick return to coaching after all

Dennis Allen recently reflected with Jay Glazer on his firing from New Orleans. One of the sentiments he expressed was feeling worse for his younger staff members than himself, because Allen has connections around the league to where he was confident he would land on his feet.

Proof of that statement is already coming to light. The Indianapolis Colts are interviewing plan to speak with Allen for their vacant defensive coordinator position, as first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. A subsequent report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed Allen will meet with the Colts this Friday...

The New Orleans Saints have an open door for the long-term answer at quarterback, which means they should open themselves up for any possibility at the position.

While most teams find project quarterbacks in the draft, could the Saints be interested in trading for one? Anthony Palacios of Last Word On Sports recently put together a list of teams that may be interested in trading for New England Patriots backup quarterback Joe Milton. New Orleans was included in that group.

This is what Palacios had to say about the potential move:

Making this move would be just about getting better a...

Browns interviewing Saints offensive coordinator for a lateral move

New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is interviewing with the Cleveland Browns on Monday, per Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, for what would be a lateral move. The Saints would have given Kubiak permission to speak with the Browns and other teams interested in hiring him as their offensive play caller (like the Seattle Seahawks), which signals that they’ll let a new head coach build his own staff. It could mean a full housecleaning is coming for New Orleans.

Kubiak’s offense made some strides last season even while dealing with critical injuries at every position group...

Ex-Saints CB Marshon Lattimore struggles in playoff rematch with archrival

The New Orleans Saints traded Marshon Lattimore to the Washington Commanders earlier this season and, as fate would have it, he met up with a bitter rival during Sunday night’s NFC Wild Card Round.

Lattimore went face-to-face with Mike Evans when the Commanders took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The two stars have a long history of beef from when they would face off twice a year.

Their visual feuds have led to fights and drama for years. It is always a pleasure to watch them face off, as both parties have claimed plenty of wins in the past.

In Lattimore’s first time facing Evans outside...

The New Orleans Saints are forced to sit by the wayside as the NFL started the playoffs this weekend, but were quickly joined by an old friend that got bounced in uncharacteristic fashion.

Former Saints head coach Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos were eliminated by the Buffalo Bills in the AFC wild-card round by a score of 31-7. With all of the postseason heartbreak he endured in New Orleans, some consider this blowout to be the worst loss he has suffered.

Saints beat writer Jeff Duncan of NOLA.com believes so, and only had one that came close — the 2006 NFC Championship game when New...

ICYMI late last week, here's the list of the Saints opponents in 2025 both home and away.

Here's a name that people haven't mentioned for HC that may be a good fit.

Why I think the Saints should hire Joe Brady

With the NFL Playoffs underway, the New Orleans Saints are still in the process of finding their next head coach.

Several interviews happened this past week, including with the defensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, Aaron Glenn. Glenn has been in New Orleans as both a player and assistant coach, so it would make sense to bring him back as the leader.

However, there's another man that spent a year as a offensive assistant with the Saints before going to LSU and helping orchestrate the greatest college offense of all time.

Joe Brady, currently the offensive coordinator for the...

The New Orleans Saints have shown repeated interest in current Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy, but have not been able to interview him with his contract yet to expire. That will all change in just a couple of days, though.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys have until Jan. 14, 2025 to sign McCarthy before his contract runs out and he becomes open to every team without a coach.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero signaled that the two sides have just started negotiations on Friday with the deadline rapidly approaching.

The former Super Bowl-winning leader has been in Dallas since the 2020 season...
