New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram will miss the first four games of the 2018 season.

The NFL suspended Ingram four games for violating the league policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Ingram will be eligible to return to the Saints' active roster Oct. 1, one day after the team's Week 4 game against the New York Giants. He is eligible to participate in all off-season activities.

Giants coach Brian Daboll announces starting QB for Week 14 vs. Saints

There it is. New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll announced Drew Lock, not Tommy DeVito, will be his starting quarterback for Week 14’s home game with the New Orleans Saints. DeVito has been dealing with a forearm injury and the Giants clearly feel a healthy Lock gives them a better chance to win.

But Lock won’t be the only backup starting for Big Blue. Daboll added that the starting offensive tackles will likely be Josh Ezeudu and Chris Hubbard due to injuries. That’s a favorable matchup for the New Orleans defensive line.

Ironically, the Giants already cut the only QB on the roster...

Saints linebacker's role changed significantly after coaching change

Willie Gay didn’t see a single defensive snap against the Los Angeles Rams. The first explanation you’d think of is the New Orleans Saints played more defensive backs to stop Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. It sounds good until you look at how Week 13 actually transpired.

The truth is the Saints couldn’t stop running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum on the ground. The Saints’ poor run defense was their biggest struggle on Sunday, and Willie Gay still didn’t see the field. You’d think he’d join Demario Davis and Pete Werner at some point.

Saints' playoff hopes feel dashed after loss to Rams

The New Orleans Saints loss to the Los Angeles Rams doesn’t mathematically eliminate the Saints from playoff contention, but it made surely feel impossible.

The Saints currently sit four games behind the Washington Commanders, who hold the last wild card spot. New Orleans would have to win four of their last five games which includes beating the Commanders and hope Washington loses four of their last five in order to catch them. Then the Saints have to hope none of the other teams ahead of them make it to nine wins.

The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are tied at the top of the...

Going into week 13, the race for first place in the division was getting very close, and now there is a tie at the top.

Regular Season record 3-9

In week 13, the NFC South had a significant in-division matchup with the Buccaneers traveling to Carolina. As I mentioned, the race for first place in the division is tight, and no matter how this game went, the race would get even closer. Ultimately, the Buccaneers won 26-23 in an overtime nail-biter. Bryce Young has been a new man since the Carolina Panthers faced off against the Saints. He makes impeccable throws and has led his team when it...

Saints Draft Position after Week 13: Second-Round Edition

The draft order is beginning to solidify more and more each week, and even with a loss against the Rams in week 13, the New Orleans Saints have moved one spot back to pick 10. I wanted to try something new this week because the Saints selection had little movement, so today, I will talk about some second-round prospects. Right now, New Orleans is slated to select at pick 41, and there are a lot of good prospects in the second round. The 2025 draft lacks talent at the top, but the depth of this draft is great.

Against the Rams, this roster was outmatched in the trenches. Even with an...

Here are some overreactions from the Saints’ 21-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in the Superdome.

Despite losing a key member of the offense for the year, interim coach Darren Rizzi is staying optimistic about his team heading into the final five games of 2024.

It’s Monday so you know what that means, Monday Night Football. This week's matchup is an AFC showdown between the Cleveland Browns and the Denver Broncos. The Broncos get the night started with the first touchdown, as Javonte Williams scores a rushing touchdown to give the Broncos an early 7-0 lead. The Browns strike back quickly though, as Jamies Winston hits David Njoku for an 8-yard touchdown reception to tie the game 7-7 at the end the first quarter. The second quarter was hectic, really because we got vintage Jameis Winston, as he throws a 71-yard pick six to really break the game...

The New Orleans Saints will head into Week 14 on the road to face the New York Giants in MetLife Stadium. The Saints are hoping to bounce back after a loss to Los Angeles Rams in the Caesars Superdome on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Giants are on a 7-game losing streak.

On paper, this should be an easy win for the Saints but nothing about this season has been easy. Players have been plagued by injuries after injuries, week after week. The latest being Tayson Hill, Tyrann Mathieu and Nick Saldiveri.

As Darren Rizzi said after the game on Sunday evening, there are 5 games left to play. This team...

Top candidates to take over as Saints head coach, Week 14

Who is going to be coaching the New Orleans Saints in 2025? That’s a question we can’t yet answer, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know who could be an option. While venerable Super Bowl winners like Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll are expected to look for work, the Saints haven’t shown much interest in candidates like them before, and you have to wonder how eager they would be to hand off much power to general manager Mickey Loomis. A coach like Jon Gruden comes with too much baggage even if he’s been around the team before.

So we’re taking stock of the coaches who are either less-accomplished or more-ambitious than those guys. Someone needs to replace Dennis Allen. They just might be on this list:
