It’s been a few weeks since the NFL held its annual draft. How has the NFC South shaped up, and where are the Saints on the totem pole?

I say that they’re right at the top, with the Atlanta Falcons not that far behind. Then it’s the Buccaneers and the Panthers at the bottom. The Saints only improved on areas of need in April but have also made some key free agent signings that put them over the top of the division. Going into the NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints had many holes that needed to be filled. They had a very good draft and were able to fix important parts of the team, but now that the roster is taking shape, there is still more work to be done.

Although this is not the flashiest position, it is the most glaring need on the Saints roster. Left Guard is a position on the team that does not have a shoo-in starter.
