"We all was competitive as hell. Like, every single day," Garrett Wilson emphasized to reporters regarding the Ohio State wide receivers. Think about it. The room in 2021 consisted of future NFL wideouts Chris Olave (Saints), Garrett Wilson (Jets), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Seattle), and Xavier Johnson (Bills).

Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson entered the 2022 NFL Draft as the top picks of their respective teams, the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets. Olave was selected one spot below Wilson, at No. 11 overall, in the first round.

The former Buckeye receivers, Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, ran a close race for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. An Olave late-season injury hampered his candidacy. Eventually, the sports writers voted for Wilson as the 2022 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year with 18 first-place nods, and Chris Olave fell to fourth place with 5 first-place votes. ...

PFF picks Kendre Miller as a fantasy football sleeper for 2024

We can count the analysts at Pro Football Focus as fans of Kendre Miller’s upside. The New Orleans Saints running back has a ton of potential, which PFF’s Kate Magdziuk focused on when highlighting possible fantasy football sleepers for the 2024 season;

Using predictive “stable metrics” that cut through the noise to highlight the most important qualities for different positions, like elusiveness for running backs. Here’s what Magdziuk learned from that information and why they’re high on Miller:

All that aside, we saw what Miller could do against a strong run defense in the regular...

Today’s NFL is predicated around passing the football. Look at this year’s NFL draft. There were six quarterbacks drafted in the first 15 picks. There’s a reason the New Orleans Saints paid Derek Carr so highly after experiencing a couple of years in quarterback limbo.

The emphasis on the passing game starts with the quarterback, but it extends to other positions.

91 days until Saints season opener: Every player to wear No. 91

We’ve got 91 days left until the New Orleans Saints open up their 2024 season with the Carolina Panthers, which means it’s time to continue our countdown with every player to wear No. 91 for the black and gold. The No. 91 jersey currently belongs to defensive tackle Kendal Vickers, who signed with the Saints in free agency this spring.

The late Will Smith accomplished more than anyone else to use No. 91, having retired with the fourth-most sacks in franchise history (67.5; his protege Cameron Jordan later surpassed him to claim the all-time Saints record). But he isn’t the only great player to do the number proud. Trey Hendrickson was a bit of a late bloomer but he developed into one of the better pass rushers of his generation. Other names worth mentioning include Robert Goff and Brady Smith.

With 91 days to go until the 2024 season kicks off, here’s the full list of players to wear No. 91 with the Saints (via

We’re continuing our countdown to the 2024 season with each New Orleans Saints player to hold the corresponding jersey number — and with 91 days to go, it means we’re highlighting the current No. 91, defensive tackle Kendal Vickers. So what’s his story, and what are realistic goals for him in 2024? Let’s break it down:

Vickers signed with the Saints after trying out at their rookie minicamp in May, along with a couple of other veteran free agents. He’s someone players on the roster know well from lining up against in the past at practice. He played college football at Tennessee with Alvin...

Saints rookie QB Rattler continues to make progress

NEW ORLEANS — The Saints will hold a three-day minicamp beginning Tuesday and we expect to see all the players that skipped the voluntary workouts to participate this week. It's also another opportunity for the new players and rookies to work with the team.

And that means more reps for Spencer Rattler, the outside interest is high on how the rookie 5th rounder is progressing, simply because he plays quarterback.

Rattler joins Jake Haener and veteran Nathan Peterman in the competition to be the backup to Derek Carr.

Now it's usually not the easiest transition from college to the pros, so...

Countdown to Kickoff: Tanoh Kpassagnon is the Saints Player of Day 92

  • News source: John Sigler

It’s such a shame that the New Orleans Saints are going to be without Tanoh Kpassagnon while he recovers from an offseason Achilles injury — the big defensive end has been one of their more productive free agent finds in recent years. Kpassagnon’s main goal this year is obviously getting healthy, but there’s a chance he could return to the field before the season ends in January.

Before we get to that, though, let’s get to know him a little better:

Kpassagnon has turned into a great value signing for the Saints. After initially playing out a two-year, $4.5 million deal in 2021 he signed...

We’ve reached the finish line. The New Orleans Saints will close out their 2024 regular season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium, giving them the opportunity for a road game outdoors under the Florida sun. We’re guessing the weather will be pleasant even in January.

And a lot could be at stake in this one; the NFL is waiting to see how the standings line up before scheduling the exact time slot. If the Saints and Buccaneers are both competitive when the playoff picture takes shape, this game could draw a national spotlight.

The Saints own a commanding 40-25 lead...

92 days until Saints season opener: Every player to wear No. 92

There are 92 days to go until the New Orleans Saints kick off their 2024 season against the Carolina Panthers, so we’re counting down the days by looking back at every player to wear the No. 92 jersey in black and gold. September’s kickoff game will be here before we know it.

The number’s current owner, defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon, switched to it after Marcus Davenport used it for five years. It changed hands many times before Davenport picked it up, most notably being worn by Super Bowl XLIV champion Remi Ayodele from 2008 to 2010.
