They were caught on the big screen with 6:43 remaining in the third quarter of the New Orleans Saints' 43-19 dismantling of the Washington Redskins on "Monday Night Football" -- well after Drew Brees broke Peyton Manning's all-time passing yardage record -- Mike Thomas and Mark Ingram joining everybody else in reveling in the moment.

This night was supposed to be a party, and they were going to enjoy it as such.

During a commercial break, right after a Taysom Hill touchdown run made it a 40-13 Saints lead, Thomas and Ingram both took their turns dancing on the big screen to Big Tymers "Get Your Roll On" to the delight of a delirious crowd.

This was an emotional night, everyone realizing they were on hand to potentially watch history unfold before them. New Orleans tapped into that emotion and harnessed it, and when the thing everyone was waiting for happened, the Saints still managed to hang on to that energy to steamroll Washington for four quarters. ...

As many know, the New Orleans Saints’ historic losing streak has extended to 7 games after struggling against the Carolina Panthers in week 9. Now, the Saints have moved up in the 2025 NFL Draft and are projected to select at pick 3.

The Saints still have a lot of issues on the roster, and now that star cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been traded, DB may be another position to focus on in the offseason. Once again, the run defense had a bad game, the quarterback play was not good enough, the offensive line struggled (Nick Saldiveri did play better), the wide receiver room is now left...

The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons will duke it out in the Superdome this Sunday afternoon. These two teams couldn’t be going in opposite directions. After starting 2-0, the Saints have lost seven straight to fall to 2-7 while the Falcons started 1-2 but have won five of their last six and now sit at 6-3.

Part of the reason for the Falcons success in recent weeks has been their offense. Kirk Cousins has led the “Dirty Birds” to 24.6 points per game, including three 30+ point performances in the past five weeks.

Cousins is really finding his groove in Atlanta. Through nine games...

How does Darren Rizzi's new position impact his future in New Orleans?

History suggests Darren Rizzi will either be the New Orleans Saints head coach or not be on the staff at all in 2025.

There have been 23 interim head coaches in the last 10 years. Antonio Pierce, Doug Marrone and Mike Mularkey are the only three to be retained as full-time head coach. Other than those three, none of the other interim head coaches were on the staff the next year.

Losing Rizzi would be big loss for the team. He’s one of the league’s leaders in special teams. This is evident my his efforts, and success, to change the kickoff rules. Rizzi spearheaded that.

NEW ORLEANS — Darren Rizzi says it is his goal to become an NFL head coach. He's now got eight games to show what he can do as the Saints interim coach. Injuries and a roster that had no depth, play a role in Dennis Allen getting fired and Rizzi has to battle through the same issues.

His team could get a little healthier for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Rizzi was named interim head coach on Monday after the Saints fired Allen following the team's seven-game losing streak.

The Saints started practicing under Rizzi on Wednesday.

This could be big. The New Orleans Saints haven’t won a game since Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy got hurt back in Week 3, which put him on injured reserve after undergoing groin muscle surgery. But their most important offensive starter returned to practice on Thursday, at least on a limited basis.

It’s still probably too soon for McCoy to get back into a game; his initial timeline had him returning to the lineup after the bye week. There’s a chance he could return sooner, and opening his 21-day practice window may indicate he’ll be back sooner rather than later.

Klint Kubiak installed his...
