Ex-LSU player and coach Bo Davis makes the jump to the Saints.

The New Orleans Saints are expected to add another collegiate coach to their defensive staff.

Luke Johnson of NOLA.com reports on Thursday morning that the Saints will hire Bo Davis, most likely as their new defensive line coach. Nick Underhill of neworleans.football confirmed the report.

Davis would join new LB coach Peter Sirmon, formerly of Cal, and new defensive backs coach Terry Joseph from Texas on defensive coordinator Brandon Staley and head coach Kellen Moore's staff.

Davis, 54, was a defensive tackle at LSU from 1990-1992 and a 2nd Team All-SEC selection in 1992. He'd begin his coaching career with the Tigers in 1995, a role he'd hold for three years. ...

The interview process is vital to understanding how these prospects think and if they can make it in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints will do their due diligence throughout the combine week, and although the team has hinted at Derek Carr being the starter in 2025, QB still needs to be looked at going into the draft. One of these quarterbacks the team could target, Miami's Cam Ward, is considered the far and away top QB in the draft. Per Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.football, the New Orleans Saints had a formal meeting with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders, son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, is one of the top QB prospects of this draft cycle. In the past two seasons at Colorado, he has amassed 7,362 passing yards, 64 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. The best game for Sanders would come in 2023, in a game against the Colorado State Rams, where he completed 38/47 passes for 347 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception.
